Sin had been holed up in the room she dedicated to her streaming work for the past few hours. She was in the middle of jotting down a few notes when there was a sharp few knocks on the doorframe. Emma stepped inside.
“Here I come to save you from …” She paused to look around. “Math. Ew. Is this for a case?” There were a few papers scribbled with numbers on them lying around. “Hey, what’s this place?” She pointed to a drawing on the whiteboard. “Are these lines bullet trajectories? And are these angles where the bullets hit the body? Who was firing from way up there?”
“You’re right. It would be absolutely insane to try and fire a gun like that.” She closed her laptop. “Good thing this has nothing to do with one. Anyway, you said something about saving me? Is it that time?”
“It’s that time!” Emma confirmed and pulled a joint from the pocket of the hoodie she was wearing. “It’s the one-hour countdown.” She hummed a very quick little theme song she had made up for these occasions. “Sure you still want to do this?” She questioned before lighting the joint and then holding it out to Sin.
Sin had slipped back into thought. “Kill her? Yep.” The look Emma was giving her when she took the joint said that wasn't the question. “Oh. The stream. Yeah, might as well.”
“No, we can go back to this other thing. Kill who?”
“Who?” Sin questioned, taking a hit and passing it back.
“Exactly.”
“What?”
“No, who?”
“Who what?”
“Emma, just stop. She’s going to keep doing this bit until you get so frustrated you don't even care about the answer to the question anymore and give up.” Came a male voice as Dom entered the room.
“You ruined my fun.” Sin gave him a look. “What do you want?”
“This.” He plucked the joint from Emma’s fingers. “That one ran off with it as soon as I sat it down.”
“Dom,” Emma protested. “I told you we had to stream. Sin has to pretend to be kinda nice and I have to pretend I am not camera shy. We need this more than you. We thrive on attention and caffeine.”
“And spite.” Sin added.
“Then we can all share.”
“Fine.” Sin said, getting up from her chair and pushing a little bit on both of them. “But we are going out there. You have too many people in this space with the smoke. Move. Now.”
The three of them reconvened in the space between the two sections of the house. “Hey. You guys wanna hear something fucked up? I have to tell Emma this before the stream anyway. I want a reaction to the thing and not to Emma reacting.” Emma perked up and Dom gave a nod. “We are going to need to bathe me in bleach after the match this week. I had no idea because, like, I don't fuck with work people like that, but Christy posts incest porn. Like full-on, her included, incest porn. Publicly. Quite publicly.” The other two just stared at her for a minute and she used their stunned silence to take the joint back. “I am not kidding. Like, you can look it up.”
“This is the absolute last time I ever attend a pre-stream smoking session.” Dom was regretting it already. “Sin, that is disgusting; why would you tell me that? Also, what kind of moron posts felonies all over the internet?”
“Oh, don't worry. I’m not telling just you that. We’re gonna tell everyone that!” Sin exclaimed happily. “I mean, she put it out there. It’s not my fault if she gets harassed by the internet for the week while she’s trying to train for our match, now is it? Or if someone else reports it and she’s in jail and can’t show?”
Dom sent Emma for a drink for the two of them. He waited until she disappeared into the other side of the house before continuing. “Don't really care about that one. Be a chaos demon all day; that’s just you. But don't think about making anything else your fault.”
“I don't know what you mean.” Sin stared at Dom blankly while she passed him the joint.
“Yes. You do. That innocent little bullshit never works with me. I saw those drawings. Emma might not see it, but that looked like a very interesting diagram to me.” He sighed. “Thought the whole point of this thing was for you to stay out of prison, not rush back to it.”
There was a long pause before she spoke. “If you’re implying that I intend to cause an ‘accident’ myself-” Emma reappeared so Sin changed her words. “The match is gonna be great. You know me, I’ll do whatever it takes to win.” She grinned smugly at her brother, happy to have that last word. “Now, if you don't mind, we have to go get ready. People actually like seeing our faces. You wouldn't understand.” She grabbed Emma’s arm and retreated to her side of the house.

“Hello and welcome to … what has got to be the worst split-screen you have ever seen on my channel. We don't have help today, it's just us.” Sin motioned to herself and Emma who were sitting together on a couch in half of the screen, both holding a controller. The other half was the title screen of House of the Dead. “Camera-wise. I mean, there’s a mod in here so don’t press your luck too hard, ‘kay?”
“Anyway, hi. Welcome to this thing we’re going to do today.” Emma echoed a hi and gave a small wave. “So most of you here know me as either one of your true crime people or one of your spooky bitches.”
“And I’m just Emma, no matter what night it is.”
Sin tried to not crack a smile and encourage her antics so they could get through this without having to have a battle for attention during. “So I’ve been trying to keep all these little sections of my life all separated and it's starting to get to be a lot of work. It’s not something we’re going to talk about all the time on here. There will be some times but if you bring it up at a weird time, instant ban. Mike, add that to the rules. Thanks. Sub-only right now? Less censor? Great.” She paused for a second before continuing. “So, occasionally, I maybe also wrestle. You know how last week someone was like ‘is it you’ and I was like ‘no it's super definitely not’, well it is. I lied. My bad.” She shrugged. “And now is one of those times we can talk about that.”
“You're such a bad person for lying.” Emma teased, mashing a button on her controller repeatedly to tell Sin to hurry up and start the game.
“I might be.” Sin went through the options to get the game loaded. “But I know something more terrible.” She regarded the laptop camera again. “Do you guys wanna hear some shit? Let me tell you about the person I’m facing this week and then we can take a little vote on what’s worse. And then I’ll answer questions because holy crap, there’s a lot of them.”
Her eyes shot back up to the screen as the two girls started the first level. “Okay. So, here's the thing. I feel like this needs a warning but I don’t know how to warn you without telling you what it actually is. So. Let’s go with there’s some very adult content coming in about 10 seconds.” She counted down and waited a beat. “So my opponent is into posting incest porn of herself. Soak that in for a second. How mentally fucked do you have to be to be out here confusing daddy and Daddy like that? Makes you wonder how close she really is with that sister of hers. Eww, she’s parading it at ringside right in front of you guys and everything. How violating! Sex crimes are gross, guys.” Her eyes moved back to the laptop. “Before you say I’m just talking shit …” She inserted a link into chat. “Right there. Click that and then tell me I’m lying.”
“Nooobody click that link.” Emma said in between laughs. “If you knew what she looked like. Sin, tell them!”
Sin nodded as she went back to the game, giving them time to react. After a moment. “Okay. So. Run me a little poll. What’s worse, me lying a tiny little bit or extremely public, loud and proud, incest porn? Set it for a couple of minutes and, while it runs, I’ll talk a little bit about the match. It’s going to be a no holds barred she had changed to be at a location we’re both familiar with. Now, you might be asking, why did she want the venue changed? What sense does that make?” She let out a little heh. “It’s quite obvious. She thinks I will be walking into a trap. Knowing there’s one laid is a large part of avoiding it. The other part, well.” There was a sadistic little laugh. “I’ve beaten the utter shit out of her how many times now?”
Emma in the background started counting on her fingers to a certain point before shrugging and picking the controller back up. “It’s a lot.”
Sin regarded the laptop. “It’s a lot.” She snickered and then went back to the game. “The thing is, when you face someone enough, you begin to pick up their little tells. Everyone has them, just like how Emma is abo-”
“I don’t.”
“-ut to prove my point.” Sin mimicked the little hand flex Emma had made around her controller before her comment. “So, really, it just boils down to paying attention more than anything. She’s not smart enough to be able to come up with anything too complex to be worried about.” A quick glance back at the laptop. “They say up to seventy-five percent of incest babies have problems.” She tapped the side of her head. “In this area. Someone really should have her checked before our match.” Her eyes shot back to the screen. “Ooh, look. Poll’s done.”
Emma paused the game for them and scooted over to lean down and look at the results as Sin read them out. “When it comes down to who is worse, by literal unanimous agreement holy shit, is …” She made a little drum roll on the table. “Christy! She’s officially the more vile human being. Imagine that.” Both girls were grinning. “Welcome to the toxic side of fame where how low can you go applies to more than just Limbo.” She blew a kiss to the screen.
“Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, I will be nice and answer a few questions. When I get bored, we’re done with it. No more asking until the next time I agree. Okay? Let’s see what ones we’ve got.”
Emma tried to catch questions. “Turn on slow mode, damn! Here’s one. Why do you think you’ll beat Christy?”
“Is this a joke?” Sin gave a very unamused look at the screen. “I always do. Why would you even question it?” She laughed. “Kidding. Then again, if I didn't think the match was a joke we probably wouldn't be here right now, would we? As I said earlier, it’s not too hard to guess where she’s going with things. Sure, she’s been here putting in the work while I was gone, but it just means there’s more of a playbook, so to speak. I’ve been gone for a while. Doesn't everyone come back with new tricks? Surely you didn’t think I’d displayed everything yet.”
“Favorite match?”
“I get to hurt people and look good doing it. No need to have a favorite. Are there any questions more fun?”
“Looking.” Emma kept scrolling.
“Here I come to save you from …” She paused to look around. “Math. Ew.
