The scent of baked beans & game meat boldly wafts through the air on a chill October night in the middle of lightly wooded, rocky plain somewhere in central California. The intermixing of a slightly charred, slightly smokey bouquet would be enough to invoke a nostalgic feeling of hunting and camping in the wilderness of one's childhood. If one was privileged enough to experience it. For some of us, that was a rite of passage into manhood. Or an unforgettable memory of alone time between daddy’s little girl and her favorite person in the whole world. Accompanying Papa, Uncle Bill and their survivalist doomsday prepper friend Jethro who snuck you a swig of whiskey while Pa was putting out the fire when you were far too young to imbibe in such a thing. Yes this was a special bonding experience for many Americans. A dying pass time in an age of infinite electronic distractions and government regulations telling you where and when you can enjoy the great outdoors.
Luckily, this was such a time and place. The legendary Memphis regional grappler of decades past, Stanislaus Theodore Fitzgerald had chosen Indiginous People’s Day, smack dab in the middle of the allotted time allowed for deer hunting season...to conduct such a rite of passage. For his charges, Adrian Steele, Pierce Brody and his niece Dawn Brody. They would have this bonding moment weeks before their first official booking as a group in the professional wrestling promotion known as World Wrestling Headquarters.
Pierce would be tending towards the fire, poking around making sure that the heat was evenly distributed so the wood would burn bright and hot for the remainder of the evening. Adrian and Dawn, the intrepid couple they be, bundled up together on the same sitting log under the protection of a heavy sleeping bag. Being sure to drag the edges up closer to themselves and make sure it didn’t accidentally catch fire being too close to the kindling. They all looked intently upon their guide and mentor, Mr. STF himself, as he finished telling his inspirational tale.
Mr. STF: And so, it was only through their combined efforts. Their willingness to share in their skills and trust in each other's plot, that the creatures of the wood stood their ground against the mighty Grizzly. The Coyote used his tricks to confound the beast and corral him into their trap. Allowing the Badger to withstand the onslaught and protect his friends. While the Doe gathered all the rest of the critters from above and below, and cornered the Bear. In this they had finally shown that the forest was united as one, and worthy of being spared the wrath of the Great Spirit. The Bear was not defeated, but he was appeased. Satisfied with the unity of Earth and animal and tree, he left. And the dwellers of the forest forever knew that they were stronger together, than divided.
It was a simple story, a little too on the nose for most paying attention. But Stan was a simple man with simple ways. His oratory skills were enough to carry through the intent and gravitas of the story in a way that you could listen to his yammering for hours and hours and suddenly wonder where the time went. Dawn obviously looked up to him like a surrogate father, maybe even on the borderline of deification. Adrian Steele, her significant other, was less enthused, allowing his mouth to move faster than his brain more often than not.
Adrian Steele: Riveting stuff there, Chief...truly. But if I may, did you really have to make up some Native American parable extremely specific to our likeness as woodland critters?
Adrian’s tag team partner Pierce Brody, was also not ignorant to the deliberate nature of the story. As he continues stabbing away at the embers of the flame, his signature scowl raises up as he addresses the storyteller.
Pierce Brody: A fine tale it was, Stanislaus. But did I really have to be the badger, of all animals? I liken us more so to a pack of wolves if you ask me.
Mr. STF’s expression was already stoic at best with his straightforward and ultra serious telling of his story. But one could noticeably see a darkness etch itself across the eyes and a significant clenching of the jaw. He doesn’t yell. He doesn’t insult. He doesn’t berate or belittle. But like a patient father figure explaining why he is not angry, merely disappointed, Stanislaus addresses one of each of his proteges at a time.
Mr. STF: First of all, Pierce. My friend. The Badger is a noble protector animal spirit in Native American culture. You would find no more valued an ally than the furious, tenacious and steadfast Badger. Be proud that you even identify yourself as taking its place within that conflict.
He then pivoted in his Coleman branded foldout chair to face Adrian Steele more directly. He was already at a higher elevation from the chair to the log upon which Steele sat. But there was something larger than life in how imposing Mr. STF seemed. Even with his age, the combination of his wide rimmed black leather cavalier hat, black western shirt with crimson red embroidered flower designs across his chest, and the fire flickering in just the right amount of shadowing of Stan’s face...it sent a chill down everyone’s spines with every word he spoke.
Mr. STF: As for your criticism, Adrian my boy. I am as flattered as I am disappointed that you would assume I crafted a tale specifically with you three in mind from my own imagination to inspire you into battle. The truth is that I was taken on a trip much like this one before you were even a gleam in your mother’s eye. I had the pleasure of hearing this story before going on a hunt for a Grizzly up there in Nikolaevsk, Alaska with some good ol boys and Iron Eyes Cody himself.
Dawn not so seriously slaps his fist against the chest and shoulder of Adrian as he stifles a giggle from the mention of Iron Eyes Cody. For those in the know, you couldn’t find a more prime example of cultural appropriation than the Italian who made his entire career out of pretending to be a Native American. Mr. STF didn’t like the laugh from Adrian. But all it took from him was a deep clearing of his throat before Steele froze solid. Perspiration quickly formed along his brow as he realized he may have well and truly fucked up this time.
Mr. STF: I am acutely aware that Iron Eyes Cody was about as Native as a chicken parm, Mr. Steele. But I’m telling you right now, that man did more throughout his life to advance Native American rights and causes than a whole train car full of these parasites claiming they’re one sixteenth Chippewa collecting quarterly casino checks and expired corn flakes. Acting indignant like they have some latent Aztec warrior spirit just waiting for “their people” to retake the Southwest United States while they sit on their ass spending their government stipend on Indica and moon pies. I’ll take ten crying fake Indians over some yay-hoos who couldn’t make out a stirrup from a chicken strip. You’d be mindful to show some respect.
The Bible Belt Bruiser herself, Dawn Brody yawns and awkwardly squeeks out a miniscule amount of approval to help break the tension in the wind surrounding this interaction.
Dawn Brody: Yeah guys. I mean come on, Mr. Fitz is just trying to motivate us. Bring us together. This debut on Dystopia...it’s a big deal for us. A coming out party for Southern Comfort. Right guys?
The expression of the proprietor of tall tales softens. His chapped lips separate slowly to smile warmly at his unabashed favorite from the group. Stan nods his head and tips his hat as he continues his explanations.
Mr. STF: Right you are there, missy. My final retort to ya’lls complaints being such. Even if I were to make up a story just for you, being allegories for inner strength, unity and perseverance...we wouldn’t use wolves. You aint wolves. Wolves have a hierarchy. They have pack leaders, Alphas and Omegas. You are equals in responsibility and capability. And you’ll prove that on Dystopia. You’re more than wolves. You’re better than mangy dogs scavenging for carrion and scurrying away at the first sign of trouble. You stand and fight in the face of certain death and show that Grizzly Bear that you will not yield. You don’t howl at the moon. You rise with the sun and ride at dawn to battle while your enemies are still shitting the pot. You’re not gonna wait for these Wolves to surround you and take advantage of weaknesses such as fear and doubt. No...you’re gonna put these dogs down...shoot it, skin it, eat it, make yourselves a new pair of God damned boots. And when you’re done? Carve the names of the Legion on them soles so when you kick the teeth in of every future tag team, they know exactly who was the FIRST who felt the sweet serenity of Southern Comfort.
There was no goodbye or goodnight needed. This address was delivered with such authority and finality that when Mr. STF stood from his chair and went to his tent to retire for the rest of the night, nobody dared question it. Nor would they continue to stay up afterwards either. Everyone knew they would be up bright and early for the next days activities. Pierce merely shook his head at Adrian who returned a sneer of his own at his own partner. But no words were exchanged. They simply fell asleep on their own accords. Any further feelings could be expanded upon at a later time.
..The Next Morning.
Adrian Steele rose from his slumber at the comforting aroma of fresh brewed coffee and crispy bacon. His lady, Dawn Brody, was not by his side. As he flipped through the entrance to his tent and wiped the sleep from his eyes he was only greeted by partner Pierce Brody. Pierce lets out that sideways bemused smile of his and chuckled as he handed Adrian a wooden bowl of bacon and leftover beans with a canteen of black coffee.
Pierce Brody: Morning princess. Don’t even ask. While you were getting your beauty sleep Stan and Dawn were gone before the sun came up. They gonna have a little heart to heart prepping her for their own match against Ashe Fame.
Adrian coughed slightly at the sudden sharpness of the morning mountain air that filled his lungs. Gratefully, he accepted the food and drink. Too tired to reply with anything snarky or rude like he usually would. Instead, Steele simply matter of factly observes his surroundings and admires the fog receding down the hills and through the woods below.
Adrian Steele: I see the uh...they took the 300’s. He take her out for whitetail?
Pierce again laughed deeply, half rasped. His hearty “hue hue hue” emanating from the side of his mouth made him sound even more generically old school good ol’ southern boy than you’d think someone trying their best redneck impression could muster.
Pierce Brody: Relax cowboy. Miss Brody may act like she’d eat the corn outta Big Fitz’s shit. But she’s got enough sense to know better and he’s got more honor than to ever take advantage of her admiration. She still gonna be your girl beyond my better judgment or best effort to discourage her. Besides, I’m thinking Stan wants you and I to hold a heart to heart ourselves ahead of this fight with the Wolves of Legion.
It certainly stung everytime Adrian had to hear Pierce talk about how he was actively trying to get in the way of his relationship with Dawn. But Adrian knew he was an asshole at heart. He’d get back at Pierce smozzing with Dawn right in front of God and country and every church in a ten mile radius. No class, no remorse. Just the way Adrian liked it. After taking a big swig of coffee that would warm the frost off a polar bears ass, he responds.
Adrian Steele: Ya don’t need to tell me, Pierce. There aint no more danger of Dawn leaving me for Mr. Fitz than there is of your wet dreams coming true of getting some of that Missouri strange from your own niece. Anyway. Wolves of Legion. The Hive. You’re the tape trader of this team. You do the research. What are we fighting anyway? Cubs? Bees? Chicks? Just tell me what we’re up against and I’ll do what I’m good at and that’s being the workhorse and carry us to victory.
Pierce never could stand that shit eating grin on Adrian’s face as he talked himself up like he was God’s gift to ass kicking. Didn’t help that his open mouth chewing of that bacon made him look like the most punchable Micah Bell cosplayer on God’s green earth. But Brody couldn’t help but chuckle just a little bit and nod his head in agreement.
Pierce Brody: I’ll give it to you, princess. You’ve got an unnatural talent for wrestling. You’ve got a ring generalship on instinct that I haven’t seen since well, since Mr. STF himself. You always know where to be, what to do and how to take advantage of openings I wasn’t even aware of. You’re a practical prodigy. And that’s why we’ve tolerated your shit as long as we have. Cause I aint gotta like ya to know I can count on ya when the chips fall.
Steele beams with pride from being talked up as much by his partner. You can see the swagger rising in the way he rolled his shoulders. Adrian finished up his breakfast and began to speak.
Adrian Steele: Well gee Pierce while we’re jacking each other’s morning wood let me reciprocate. You’re finest furry badger I’ve ever seen.
Steele roars in laughter at his own “hilarious” punchline that he rolls onto the ground and accidentally slams the back of his hand into the smolders of the campfire. Adrian shrieks in pain and starts cursing as he turns over and kicks at the ground saying “fuck fuck fuck” over and over again. This is what gets Pierce to chortle himself at witnessing darwinism in real time.
Pierce Brody: Good job slapnuts. Check the Yeti over by Stans lodging, Put some ice on it and if ya keep your mouth shut for longer than two seconds you might learn something. Anywho, Wolves of Legion. Kassandra and Danae. Say what you will, as I know your smart mouth is want to do. But as far as I can tell it’s a damn miracle these ladies weren’t the tag team champs already going into it. Everything I’ve seen them do, they do with ruthless efficiency. They beat the shit out of everyone they come across. Many would say they almost couldn’t be beat. The proof is in the pudding with the Leader of this Hive group, Legion themself, is a double champion in WWH. Women’s and Demolition Championships. One could argue it’s just a matter of time before The Wolves come full circle and their whole supergroup is dripping in gold. Which makes it just fine that they get to be our first official test in the tag team division. We beat the Wolves of Legion, you might as well hand us those vacant tag team belts right now. There aint nobody better to test Southern Comfort than those ladies right there.
Adrian keeps blowing and breathing in and out as he holds an ice pack over his burnt backhand. Steele sits back down after listening to what he would consider the meandering of Pierce about their opponents. This was always Brody’s style. He loved talking up others, hyping them up. Only for Adrian to traditionally dress them back down again and explain how SoCo was going to come out on top no matter how great their opponents were.
Adrian Steele: You talk up a good game about these chicks, Pierce. But as far as I can tell it sounds like one of them Lackey Factions. Since Legion’s the one homogenizing the title belts around themselves. Leaving Kassandra and Danae in the dust. It’s clear the priority there is making sure Legion is as successful as possible. The Wolves are just minions to the cause. Their heart aint it like ours are. They aint hungry like we is.
Pierce sneers at Adrian’s dismissal of the Hive and the danger they represent. He knows they can’t afford to underestimate anyone going into this debut.
Pierce Brody: Make no mistake, princess. If you take these ladies lightly, they will eat you alive. You’re right about one thing though...they aint as hungry as we are. Nobody can be. We will not be denied this opportunity to make our mark on WWH. Which is why we gonna do what Mr. STF says so. We don’t wait for the Wolves to surround us. We get the jump right off the bat. Wham, bam, thank you Ma’am. Southern Comfort combination. It’s over. I know you like your flash and pomp, boy. But this is not the time for that. They’ll be time enough for taunting when the three counts done. You hear me?
Adrian saunters on over to his tag team partner and slams the still smokey hand over the shoulder of Pierce. He emits a devilish grin as they stand in a picturesque moment side by side of two country boys posing in a way that perfectly encapsulates the arrogant defiance of Adrian Steele and the stoic brooding of Pierce Brody. They don’t have to like one another. But they’d never get personal feelings get in the way of getting paid. That’s the Southern Comfort way.

The cameraman emerged back into the hallway after dealing with Legion, as he looked across the two torches remained. He went over and picked up the blue torch, as he pulled the door open. He stepped through appearing on top of the hill, as he looked down on the darkened city. A woman appeared next to him, carrying a similar torch, but a bit brighter, as she hands it to the cameraman, he gives her his in return. They walk down the road, as the gatekeeper awaits them arriving at the city. The woman uses one free hand to motion as the cameraman looked at the gatekeeper, the large figure moved off to the side, but put his hand out to the woman in the black robe. The cameraman passed through the city walls, while the cameraman watched the woman.
“You are not welcome with the city; the Queen forbade it. You know better, back to your field, and have mercy on your soul.”
The cameraman proceeded with his bright torch, the woman turned back going up to her position at the top of the hill looking downward, a woman appears next to him, walking side by side with him. The cameraman looked over saw the black-haired woman walking next to him, as he jumped stepping back. She laughed to herself as she had done in the past.
“The Blue-Eyed Wolf” Kassandra: Maybe you’ve seen a ghost, or you are just like the rest of us… finally seeing the way the queen brings herself into your life, and just leaves that little indentation on your soul. I’ve been pondering that the entire time, but I’ve learned my lesson upon her. She can be the one to give you a new view on the world, but she can take it away just as easily. So, Danae and I do our best to make sure that she has what she needs to make sure that we can survive.
Kassandra snapped her fingers then disappeared with a blink of the cameraman’s eye, then the cameraman proceeded to his immediate forward, as he saw a woman running along the buildings next to him, looking up he recognized the hair of Kassandra going along with him. She stops then turns sitting over the edge her legs dangling down upon the roof. She looked down at the cameraman, the moon glowed brightly behind her, as she laughed to herself.
“The Blue-Eyed Wolf” Kassandra: This world was given to me by the Queen, I am its guardian, and the victims that fall before me, gets a bit of their soul taken and placed in one of the buildings. A Brand-new team has decided to come to WWH and make its name known upon us. Danae and I have not tagged for a bit because the court jester who runs the entire show figured I would succeed on my own. They would be right; I am more than capable of doing things on my own. But when I work with Danae it seems more like, we are a complete picture. The Queen is the puppet master for us, and while she keeps at ringside, directing us, we tend to become stronger because that’s what we want. I’ve learned so much from the queen that it becomes something more.
Kassandra then vanishes from the top of the building, the cameraman sees the hands pressing against the glass, as he stepped back. He did not know how many were in the building, as he turned down an alley. He was taking a breath, when he heard the snarl come from the alleyway, looking over seeing two wolves appear next to him, a white wolf with Red eyes, a bit bigger than its counterpart which was a black-furred wolf with Silver eyes. A pair of hands reached over and pulled the cameraman out of the alleyway, as she looked at the two. Her eyes glowed like theirs, as the cameraman stood behind Kassandra. The two wolves immediately backed into the shadows. Kassandra settled down, then turned to the cameraman who was leaning against the building hearing the pounding of the souls against the walls.
“The Blue-Eyed Wolf” Kassandra: The shadows of the city, are not a friendly place. I figure with the frequent visits that you make into the domain that you would have figure that out by now. But alas, every time the Queen knows you are here, she and Danae are always lurking in the dark places. Mother watches over us all, and she even appears down those alleyways best to stay on the main road…
Kassandra nodded to the cameraman, as she got up offering the cameraman her hand, as she turned back facing the street. She then looked over taking the torch from the cameraman leaving him in its glow, as she looked at the pretty flame, moving it down staring at it, almost matching the color of her eyes when the wolves appeared. She then giggled handing it back to the cameraman who looked at it wondering what Kassandra saw in it.
“The Blue-Eyed Wolf” Kassandra: So, this week as I was mentioning before the Queen and the Silver Wolf appeared. This week we are facing a brand-new team coming into the WWH for the first time. Southern Comfort, accompanied by their manager Mr. STF, well they seem like a cute bunch, never met the group. See Danae and I have been teaming for years, only when we came to Legion, that we learned our true potential, we then learned that we could do as we wanted, when we wanted, and the only people that could stop us, were the ones willing to take the big risks. See Southern Comfort, you aren’t just coming to the ring against some run of the mill team, we believe we are the ones that are next in line for the World Tag Team Championships, as we had pinned the previous tag team champions. But since they are no longer here, the Wolves are hungry for them now, more than we had been before.
Kassandra laughed as she disappeared from the cameraman’s side, he remembered what she had said about the alleyways, as he turned his head down the one, he had passed, he could see the glowing red eyes, of the White wolf that was down there. He then turned his head back, as Kassandra returned carrying a couple torches which were the equivalent of what the cameraman was carrying. She turned and tossed one of them into the windows next to them, while the cameraman watched in horror as he could hear the souls screaming within the buildings. She then laughed as she turned back to the cameraman.
“The Blue-Eyed Wolf” Kassandra: You know they’re just over-dramatizing the point. See what the fire does is cleanse gives us a new perspective to the life. Southern Comfort, you guys may be the new kids on the block, and I respect that, Danae and I were that when we first arrived on the scene in WWH, but now we have proven ourselves, over and over again. Will we allow some new punks, to come running over us? No, we will not because that would be giving them the easy way out… It would be giving them a win that they would not necessarily earn from their own views but our chance to be the success that we need to be. See the way I look at it is that I’ve been on my roll, knocking off Matsuda, Lady Gwen, and a few others as a singles competitor, the last time the two of us competed it was against the Powers Brand on Isle, and that was not a competition that was just a gong show that they called it. What I am hoping now that is Southern Comfort can give us the run that we deserve, and whatever happens may the best team win it.
Kassandra threw the other torch across the way but before it hit the window it was stopped, Kassandra looked curiously around trying to find her, as she didn’t see her, so Kassandra shook her head as the torch stopped dead dropping to the ground, Kassandra cursed out in Greek, knowing now who was responsible as the cameraman had wondered himself. She then disappeared, as the torch did as well, Kassandra re-appeared a bit down the street with two women behind her, the cameraman gently approached as he saw the three women standing there. Kassandra motioned for him to come forward faster, as a ghost car passed behind him, the cameraman looked curiously as it vanished in the darkness. He turned to Kassandra as they began walking up one of the side streets, he was curious now, as she had warned him to never walk up the side streets.
“The Blue-Eyed Wolf” Kassandra: I know what I’ve said, which is never walk up the side streets, but currently we have an escort who will protect us just in case the wolves come. I wanted to show you something that no one has ever seen in this area, it is a pride and a comfort considering that we each have a special thing for us, in our rooms. Mine is a mural, of where I was and where I’ve gone. See I started off as that pink haired girl, who was desperate for approval from everyone, then I was introduced to Danae, and then I gained my confidence through it, and now, I am a blossoming woman, who has made a best friend, and the Queen who never gave up on us. Southern Comfort, I also wanted you to see this, it shows you my evolution into the blue-eyed Wolf, one half of the best tag teams in the game currently, the Wolves of Legion.
“the two other Women”: the Wolves of Legion..
Kassandra then motions to the two women, to escort the man back to the main road, as they did the wolves tried once more to emerge, but the two women easily repelled them back into the darkness as the cameraman sprinted to the main street, he tripped as he approached the main street, looking up as he landed on his back. Kassandra had been standing about two feet from where he fell laughing at him, as she offered him her hand, then brushed him off.
“The Blue-Eyed Wolf” Kassandra: I always promise when you come here that you will not be touched by the wolves, and that is my good word. I find that they are only here when you are here, so the Queen must be protective of her blue-eyed wolf, and Danae is always watching as well. The curious thing is if Mother is watching as well, because there would be the one thing that would make the most sense. On some note though, we have our pains and our needs, but she seems to find a way to make them better. Maybe it is a good thing she watches over all of us, as we care for each other.
Kassandra then disappears, as the cameraman is left to wonder if the woman on the hill the woman Kassandra had mentioned was Mother. The cameraman shook his head clearing the vision, as he made his way down towards the end where Kassandra was standing on the top of a ledge where it lead to the spire, that was the closest the cameraman had ever gotten to the spire, he looked up where Kassandra was standing, as she looked down laughing quite loudly, so that she would be heard through the area. The cameraman was not about to climb up and join her, as Kassandra lifted her hands, lightning cracked behind her, the blue hue that matched her eyes, as she looked down, the spire was hit by one bolt of lightning.
“The Blue-Eyed Wolf” Kassandra: The time has come, and the people will know. The Wolves are returning to the land of Dystopia… Southern Comfort, the rest of the tag team roster, you will soon find that the Wolves are the team to beat, and to those who oppose us, I hope you are going to bring your best, because we crave the competition more than you know…
Kassandra then disappeared, appearing in front of the man, having another man appear beside her holding the chest. The cameraman dug through his pockets, finding two gold coins given to him earlier, as he passed them to Kassandra, who inspected the coins that she had been giving to check if they were forgeries or not, then nodded as Mister J opened the chest, as she placed them atop the pile.
“The Blue-Eyed Wolf” Kassandra: the opportunity and time has come for you to pass, ensure you grab the silver torch outside of the room, that will guide you to her. Give Danae my best, and I will see her soon.
Kassandra took the torch from the cameraman as he looked behind him, Kassandra dropped the torch on the ground, watching as the cameraman pulled the door open. Mister J vanished, as did Kassandra in a blue ring of fire, as the cameraman turned around, he saw them vanish. The cameraman returned to the hallway where he then watched the door close behind him, the scene fades out with him moving over to the silver door and reaching for the torch.

The cameraman had re-emerged on the hallway where the girls usually kept him in misery, but for now there was only one door left within the hallway, as the other two had been chained shut from the outside. The cameraman had lifted the torch from the holder, then reached for the door, as he did, it flew open, He stepped inside of it, the jingle of the coins in his pocket, as he did the smell of the field was coming through, that fresh scent of grass and harvest coming. He turned then the door was slowly closing behind him. The door opened before him, to reveal the land where the spire rested in the distance, but a new structure had emerged, as a castle had emerged within the land. The cameraman was greeted, by one of her workers as they bowed the cameraman had bowed to match them showing them some respect. The worker then looked up.
“Danae is waiting you just off in the distance allow me to show you. She has been most anticipating this as she has not seen a good many people on her own for the last month or so. Just the people who work with her, and her new fortress, which I must say is impressive.”
The cameraman nodded as he followed the woman over to where Danae had been standing observing the fields where her workers were working, she then turned around seeing the woman approaching her with the traveller whom she had been expecting. She smiled softly, as she looked at the woman waving her away as she nodded then turned to the cameraman, as she began to walk away.
“Good Luck”
Danae had heard her but let it go as they had a visitor there, as she motioned for him to come over by her side. The cameraman looked down, but he could not see the other workers besides the one that had greeted him, he looked puzzled as to what she was watching as Danae turned to him. She then smiled softly, as she had a bow in hand.
“The Silver-Eyed Wolf” Danae: It has truly been a while since I’ve had a guest in my home, so please I welcome you to it. The woman just sees me as a harsh mistress, because I tend to rule this place with an iron fist, but that is what the Queen would have desired. It is her way, and hence she commends me for my efforts when she does come to visit. So you are wondering about the new fortress behind me I bet?
The cameraman nodded as he looked it up and down, amazed how in such little time since he had last emerged into this world that the fortress had been built. She then turned motioning for the cameraman to keep up with her as she smiled to herself. The cameraman walked along next to her, as he heard the howl of wolves in the distance, he looked frightened at Danae, as she patted him on the head. She was not worried about her colleagues, as she then looked over at him.
“The Silver-Eyed Wolf” Danae: the encounter with the Wolves off the bat I know is scary, but here you have nothing to fear, they do not even enter my citadel because they know that I do not tolerate it. I do not need my workers being afraid of going out to work, because of the wolves attacking them. They need to understand it is q simple factor, if they do not go to work, then I will get the Queen and she will enforce her will.
The cameraman nodded, as he looked over still not seeing what she was talking about, but he caught glimmers of what she was speaking on. Danae then drew an arrow from her quiver which she carried on her back, putting up her bow, firing an arrow into the sky, the silver flame catching on it, as it hit the ground in the distance causing a fire to start. She then looked proud of herself, as she turned back to the cameraman.
“The Silver-Eyed Wolf” Danae: So, from time to time, you must give them motivation, and I am not above that. This is not about me though; you did not just come here to study me. You came to talk about our return match to wrestling where we will face off against, a new team that has been brought to WWH and they have decided in the best interest of both teams that they would place them in a tag team match against the Blue-Eyed Wolf Kassandra and the Silver-Eyed Wolf Danae, the Wolves of Legion. It seems like a bold move, for a team that has just come in to be the ones to be our first opponents after a couple months, but I am not one to shy away from a challenge, neither has Kassandra ever been. So we have been everywhere, have accepted every challenge that has been laid before us, and now this is just a new challenge we must defeat.
Danae then disappeared, as the wind began to blow. The cameraman watched as the wind showed him the path, following it, seeing Danae off in the distance, she had drawn another arrow, with the silver flame upon it, the cameraman watched her as she sent another arrow out to the field where the workers were working but she missed them going over them and landing in the distance. She smiled to herself as she looked back seeing the cameraman finally joining her. Danae nodded as she watched her crews heading out to the fires trying to put them out, their efforts for not, as anything they did, seemed futile.
“The Silver-Eyed Wolf” Danae: Its always such fun to watch them scramble, then try to put the fire out only to realize that their effort is for not, as the flames are unstoppable, but shhh they don’t know that. Now to focus, Saturday Night, is the return of the true tag team, in WWH, the premier team of WWH, the Wolves of Legion. I commend my partner for having success as a singles competitor, and I have watched as she has done so. Enough was enough though, I did not want to sit on the sidelines anymore watching my partner go and have all the fun that she was having indeed… So, we got together and now we are back together, offering up a new division, as the leaders of it. Southern Comfort, you might think that there is some balancing act, that you would want to have, but we are the leaders.
Danae was wondering to herself for a moment as one of the flame piles had disappeared, she shook her head, as she drew her bow pointing it straight up, then released the arrow with the fire on it. She then fired it, watching as the firemen down on the other end scattered as they saw it coming but then there was nothing just an arrow in the seat. Danae became frustrated with the fact that someone had begun interfering in her business, she then growls as she lets out a loud howl, disappearing once more. The cameraman continued to study the firemen for a moment then turned as he headed up further on the path admiring the landscape and the area surrounding the new castle. The cameraman continues to press forward until he trips over something, the white wolf with the red Eyes. It growled at the cameraman as Danae came back. She stood between the cameraman and the white wolf, as she then pointed out towards the forest. The Wolf hopped over the fence, as the cameraman took a deep breath.
“The Silver-Eyed Wolf” Danae: I’ve told her more than once, she is not to be up here especially while I have guests here, but the Queen does as she wants, hence why she is the leader of the pack. Here, let me help you up.
Danae offered her hand to the man, who had fallen over, she then smiled softly, as she pulled him up brushing him off from the dirt. He looked at her mouthing thank you as she nodded then motioned for him to follow her. There was still much to see, but would he have time for it all? Danae then led him up to the fortress, letting him go first into the fortress. She then smiled as she turned back firing one final arrow, letting it hit in the middle of the field towards the bottom of the hill.
“The Silver-Eyed Wolf” Danae: In all honesty, I wanted something I could call my own, so I made a deal with the Queen, but at least at that moment I figured it was a good idea. This stone fortress has been part of this place as far as I could remember it but there was a time when it was not here. So now I have that place, and I enjoy it, I have my places where I can go, but I cannot go into the throne room ever, that is against the rules. And when you don’t want to find out what the Queen would do when you break the rules go in there.
Danae then turned going over to one of the windows watching as her firemen continued fight the blaze that she had started far enough away from her fortress, that she smirked. She then turned as she then drew another arrow firing it into a target about a few feet from her.
“The Silver-Eyed Wolf” Danae: So, we’ve been through the ringer, hell even in our first match we were one of six challengers for the tag team titles. So, I guess, and we have pinned the former tag team champions even though the titles are vacant. If we lose, we can accept a loss, hell we’ve been through that ringer quite a few times, but if we win, will it finally show the woman in charge, that maybe she has a quality tag team, and one of the few that have lasted in the division for so long that we have been carrying it on our backs. Then it will be our battle to win or lose, hence we are in a paradigm shift of power. Our Queen holds two of the titles, while we sit and wait for our turn at the World Tag Team Titles.
Danae growls as she lifts her hand up sending the doors to the fortress open, as the wind began to blow strongly as she looked the workers were entering back into the fortress. Danae then charged disappearing as the workers cowered before her. The cameraman followed her outside of the fortress, as he could now see Danae in the middle of the field holding her silver torch, the cameraman was curious, as he hopped over the fence watching her. The firefighters had done the best they could to contain the former blazes, but they had moved on. Danae laughed as she then turned around, looking at the fires.
“The Silver-Eyed Wolf” Danae: There was a time when the concept of fire bothered me, and now it seems the only thing I can stand besides my friends, my Queen, the mother, and those who dare defy us. The hive is a single entity, those who dare defy us, have been the ones to succumb to the Titan’s End, but those who have been lucky, have not left unscathed. Those who work for me, now that you see them are the souls of the innocent who believed they had figured out the game. Believed that they once, had figured out the code of Legion, but then they had failed, so they came to one of two places… In the end, this is her goal.
Danae then laughed as she dropped the torch, watching as the field started to go up in flames the cameraman ran back hopping over the fence, Danae disappeared in the sudden chaos. She then appeared next to the cameraman offering her hand as it looked like she had wanted something from the cameraman. He had an inkling what she had wanted as Mister J walked up behind them carrying the chest, as the cameraman then understood.
“The Silver-Eyed Wolf” Danae: the coins, that is what I now want… While it seems clear, the future seems murky compared to what I know. For now though, these coins are the only safe passage out of this paradise.
The cameraman and Danae had a difference of opinions when it came to paradises it seemed. He pulled the two gold coins from his pocket placing them in her hand, Mister J opened the chest, as Danae placed them on the top of the pile. She smirked as a door appeared through all the fire, and flames. The cameraman got up watching as Danae continued to stand there.
“The Silver-Eyed Wolf” Danae: My time has come, your time is to leave. Only come back when you are ready…
She laughed, watching as mother pulled the door open. The scene faded out, as the cameraman returns to the normal hallway, he looks around then walks off… Mother is heard laughing through the background.
