A decade's worth of training inside a wrestling ring from over a dozen former champions had paid off inside the ring during Isabella's Isle debut. The fact that she had gone up against someone who had been wrestling professionally had made the things even more interesting for her. Which is why Isabella was currently standing looking out over Pacific Ocean as the sun was setting while someone off camera was recording her.
Royal | Isabella Thorn: Last Isle I made my WWH debut in a match against Jensen Kidd-Belmont. It was a simple straightforward match with no shenanigans to it from two competitors who didn't need to cheat or do anything crazy to win. Neither of us are the type to play nasty in the ring or out of it. You all saw what we both posted to the WWH website before our match on Isle. In the end though I pulled out the win in the match and in doing so managed to move on to the next round of the Imperium sponsored Imperial Championship title tournament.
Isabella grins slightly as she strikes an amused pose in her Imperial Youth Wrestling t-shirt and shorts that she was wearing. After a few seconds she continues speaking.
Royal | Isabella Thorn: While this match wasn't against a world champion like my professional debut was, I feel like it will end up being the true start to my professional career. Jensen was a worthy competitor and from what I heard she impressed management enough to be moved over to Dystopia. If that is true then I wish her all the luck in making a name for herself among the talented roster that they have there. Having said that though, it is time to shift gears and move on to my next match.
With an amused smirk on her lips Isabella turns to look out at the setting sun as it reflects on the water behind her.
Royal | Isabella Thorn: It seems that while not fully sanctioning my father's title, tournament management has decided to use it as a way to book this week's Isle. An Isle that will be taking place as the War of Attrition pre-show. What a show it will be with four exciting matches to showcase the best of Isle roster. Two Imperial Championship Tournament Semi-Final matches, even if the belt itself isn't officially sanctioned by Callie Franklin or the rest of the WWH Management. I am not arguing with any of this since in the end I am sure things will end up with this belt becoming official eventually. With that being said my opponent is the rookie from the Netherlands Annelies.
Another shift of pose happens as Isabella turns back to the camera.
Royal | Isabella Thorn: Now I am curious what has prompted the promising rookie's silence for the last episode of Isle. She beat out three other wrestlers in the semi-main event of the debut edition of Isle. Going in she admitted she was a rookie but that she had no fear of doing what it took to win. As a result she picked up a win. Last Isle she went up against Xavier Rose in what ended up being a decent match. However, there was nothing from her about the match itself. Which I find curious given how vocal Xavier is about how beautiful he is. Top that with the fact he thinks he is God's gift to professional wrestling. Now, I will get back to Xavier in a minute but let me get back to what I was saying about Annelies.
By this point the sun was halfway down the horizon turning the ocean waves a golden color and the faintly cloud streaked sky and varying tones of orange and purple. Isabella turns to look out at this for a moment as she lets her next words form in her mind's eye.
Royal | Isabella Thorn: I am curious about a few things Annelies. First off, why do you call yourself the Black Diamond? Is there some story to go with the moniker or did you just pick it out at random? Either way, I am curious what it means. Regardless, in the end it doesn't matter why you have called yourself the Black Diamond since names don't win wrestling matches. I am not sure if you have been paying attention or not to what has been going on here in the WWH since you became part of Isle. If you have then you have learned a decent bit about who I am as a person. If you watched my match last Isle you would have seen a glimpse of who I am as a wrestler. Though I think I should let everyone in on a little secret about my finishers. I was given them by my aunt, Velvet Grey. Who was the Longest reigning GEW Women's Champion before she had to vacate the belt after she became pregnant. I know some in the WWH know about GEW and the impact the Sisterhood had there in its final year.
Isabella stops to take a deep breath and chuckles in amusement.
Royal | Isabella Thorn: Yet, I digress. Annelies we will face off in the ring and only one of us will move on to the Imperial Championship Finals. By the end of the night you will learn that while you may be the Black Diamond but I am Royal. I will be the one who goes on to face either Latoya Hixx or Xavier Rose in the finals because I have a decade of ring experience and training. See soon and I hope you won't crack under the pressure.
With these words Isabella strikes a pose with her arms crossed over her chest as the image fades into a War of Attrition hype package.
