[The Scene shows Latoya is getting her makeup and hair done alongside Taylor Lawson in the back while Starr Robinson runs into her]
Starr Robinson: Latoya. last month on the final Dystopia you lost the match to Nadia. which is why you will meet her again in your battle royal for the Women's 1# Contenders match at Shogun any suggestions Ms Hixx.
(fans erupts into cheers for Latoya in the background)
Latoya|Hixx: Reason they let Nadia. win over me was because she doesn't want me to be apart of this battle royal witch I am apart of cause it doesn't matter rather I'm in the battle royal or not it's up to the Universe idea to let me be able to compete in this battle royal with a bunch of women in this Women one Contenders match on Shogun at WWH.
Starr Robinson: what if you can't survive the match on Shogun.
Latoya|Hixx: to be Obvious Ms Robinson. they wanted me to win this battle royal and be the next Women number one Contender for Stephanie's Matsuda WWH Women's Champion next week on Dystopia after the match on Shogun at WWH.
Starr Robinson: but can you even defeat Jonna Austin and Maggie McIntyre. this Saturday
Latoya|Hixx: depends on hows the match gonna turn out cause once I throw every women from that battle royal then I will be declared as the new Women's 1# Contender of Stephanie's Mastuda on next week's of Dystopia for the Women's World title on WWH.
Latoya|Hixx: and I am The Hellaicous Heart Breaker Diva of WWH.
{Hixx walks away from Taylor Lawson when Starr Robinson continues talking)
Starr Robinson: thanks or the support Latoya. and good luck in your battle royal for the Women's 1# Contender at Shogun on WWH.

Post by The Queen of Wall Street on Dec 31, 2020 23:29:50 GMT -5
The scene starts and we see the Queen of Wall Street, the gorgeous leggy raven haired woman known as Monica Mardona. Looking like she could have just stepped off of the front cover of a high fashion magazine. She is in a room that has no decoration, just a blackish gray background. Calling back to the dapperness of a Rod Serling intro from the fifties and sixties. We hear the southern accent escape the mouth of the women on-screen.
“A debut fit for a queen. Tokyo,Japan; A global hub of what is next in the world, yet a place with such firm roots in the past warriors and culture of the land. It’s fitting: Just like me I am the future of this business, heck not just this business. I am the future of business, I have proven that from my humble beginnings, which I have used to get to where I am now. One of the most feared women in the business world. A woman who is about to become feared in the industry of wrestling.
Athletically gifted, superior to everyone who has ever doubted me. All those who think I am just a pretty face. To those that think I’m a bitch, let me tell you girls: I am that bitch honey. I am the bitch, who will make you worship under my designer boots. I am the bitch who will cause your husband of years, to want a superior woman. Yet that isn’t something I want: look at all the women in this match. The ones that have men, they sure as heck aren’t in my class. I’m the bitch who is going to throw each and every one of you girls over the top rope. Then when it is down to me and whatever poor unfortunate soul, I am the bitch that will pin that bitch down 1..2..3..
Now let’s talk about those poor unfortunate souls. First we have Latoya Hix”
We hear Monica burst out in laughter. At the mere mention of the name of the first girl in the battle royal.
“Okay onto Joanna Austin. I guess we can say that last name hopes a lot huh honey? The loveable punk. What stay is this here fourth, fifth, sixth. Who knows, not me. If you left cause of the past owner, let me tell you this: Whoever is the boss here, that doesn’t mean its gonna be better. Yet, I have to commend you for that.”
Monica claps her hands for Joanna
“The fact that you were big enough to walk out, when so many of these bottom feeders just sat around collecting a paycheck. That is what I like to see. A confident woman, and that is what we need more of. Yet that doesn’t change the fact that: You're in my way Joanna. This is business and it’s nothing more than that. So when I continue doing what I do: Stepping over the less hungry people to get what I want. If you didn’t reach the top the first time you were here… why come back? Take notes from the queen, and see how it is the conquer before you leave.
Now we go on to Ms Maggie. So young, 20 years old. Should have a head full of dreams, but what a young age to have them crushed at. You also are kind of in the same boat as Joanna, so when you two go down at least you have each other. The whole family business thing. You come from wrestling blood lines as well, something that seems to be a recurring theme here. Kind of respectable, but kind of sad. Are you one of those that are here on talent, or as a favor to daddy. You are making a name for yourself, but do you deserve it? I will be the judge of that. Maybe you surprise me and I am prove wrong. You may deserve it all, but you don’t deserve it over me.
Now from a newcomer to a veteran we focus on Mercedes Vargas. She seems to be here, but that seems to be all. She’s been here and has had so many chances to get that contendership, yet she doesn’t really get much farther than that. Time after time, it must get really disheartening. You just cant bag that big one who Cedes? Can I call you that, umm I really don’t care. Looking back you made a name in Sin city, ugggh… A name is sin city, was it luck or were you really just that umm sinful. Did you lay all your chips on the table, or did you lay something else on the table for that notoriety. No matter which of the two, if you want to plan for that future hit me up for some investment tips. First tip don’t get in my way.
Now let’s go unto Nikki Caldwell. The Amazon. Here is the question I have? If 5 foot 6 makes you an Amazon, what am I? Well I guess looking around at the other girls in this match you may appear quite the Amazon. Yet now you have a real warrior here, so maybe you will feel weird being outsized height wise. I really don’t think I can say many negative things about you though, when looking at the pack of mutts in this match you sure stand out on paper. Quite fearsome, athletic, you have been against some big names here. Well you don’t become the Queen of Wallstreet without possessing the appetite for a challenge, and I look forward to it
Then we have Victoria in this match. Part of the rockers couple of WWH. The young high energy, should be sponsored by redbull couple. So much energy you are just going to burn yourself out sweetie. I want you to save all that energy. Keep that husband satisfied. Maybe I can do you a favor, and send you over the top rope quick. That way you can go back and be the Lyoness in a different kind of way.
Now onto a different double X, not the funny one though. We are going onto the little red and black-haired firecracker. What kind of fire? Well, she would want us to believe hellfire. Yet under all the makeup, under all the hair dye; what is really there? Is it pure evil, like she says or is it just a scared girl. A girl playing dress up to escape the fact that she wants to live in another world. Kind of a Alice in Wonderland situation going on. Yet this time, Alice is in hell in her head. Yet to be honest, doesn’t the original story sound a lot like hell too. So let me show you Alice, go back to your little dark tea parties and let me do my thing.
Now let's focus on the last women in this match. Heck the last girl, she is barely legal. Doesn't seem like a smart hire to me, when your company has ties to a home for the insane. I’m sure that some of the creeps over there would be licking their lips at that prospect. She has one match and is undefeated… yet that match is against. Well put two and two together, I’m not even going to say her name cause I don’t want to laugh myself to death. Nadia, it will be a pleasure to teach you a thing or two. Opposed to the trash that you associate yourself with. Gosh she is just that typical new york big mouth party girl. She calls herself a businesswoman, the only thing I’m sure she has sold would be some pills in a nightclub bathroom over on the Jersey Shore. If you want to learn about business, come to me and I’ll set you on the right path.
Now that we have went through all that. Let’s get out of here. I’ve wasted to much of my time basically giving charity to public access tv or whatever this is being shown on. Usually this would cost, but hey if you want me to turn your pay per view buys into a profit. Let it be my duty as an employee to take this little Japanese adventure and move it from the red to the green. The scene fades to black Bonus SceneThe day of shogun, we can not see anything in the locker room yet we can hear Monica Mardona talking to someone. Not sure who it is but we just saw someone that seems to be a stylist carrying some sort of clothing. All we hear is Monica say "It's perfect, this is going to be one amazing debut"
ooc word count 1484. Didn't even remember the deadline and wrote this sick so its not amazing in my opinion. Bonus scene is just a tease for the entrance she is gonna have at the ppv will send it to Eden. Good luck everyone

Post by Victoria Lyons on Jan 1, 2021 13:59:52 GMT -5
The Lyoness didn’t have the best start to her WWH career, but the past couple of events have gone in her favor and it would appear she has finally gotten into her groove, while she still has a long way to really dig her claws in and make her own name outside of her brother, she’s at least headed in the right direction.
The Shogun tournament now behind her she readies herself for another big opportunity. A chance to become WWH Champion, at some point in the not actually that far off future. It’s an opportunity to reboot herself, and prove she is in fact more than Vincent’s sister.
Shogun as usual is taking place in Japan. Vincent had gone off to do some Shogun related promotions for his match with Havoc, likewise Renee was doing the same for her own Shogun match, and Ace was busy with his various assignmets as well, so Victoria was left to her own devices. What devices were those? Visiting the dojo of their family friend Takeru Dojima, as her and Vincent had done in years prior.
The Lyons sensei hadn’t upgraded his gym in ages, it was as cold and dirty as it always was. Somehow though that was it’s charm, and the twins really only got to see Sensei Dojima once a year when Shogun came to town. So a dirty old ring wasn’t of too much concern. This year, the ring was at least sanitized.
[Dojima] So, just you today Victoria-chan?
Victoria sat on the apron of the ring, her feet dangling on the side as their sensei approached her.
[Victoria] Oh, I’m certain you’ll see him at some point before Shogun. We’ve been doing our own thing recently, I’m trying to make my own mark in the business, you know?.
[Dojima] I understand, but do not forget you are still part of a team. It’s good to keep focused on yourself, but when you are part of a team understand they are part of you as well.
[Victoria] I know that. I have all the faith in the world that Vincent will walk out Affliction Champion, and that Renee will win the Shogun tournament. But I don’t want to lose sight of my own goals. I have a chance to earn a guaranteed shot at the women's championship. That belt is why I chose to make the transition from manager to wrestler in the first place.
[Dojima] Do you think you’re ready to call yourself a champion?
[Victoria] I mean, Shogun didn’t pan out too well, but I closed as strong as I could. And if WWH is giving me this opportunity, then I’d be a fool to squander it. Plus, if I win, I’d have a decent amount of time to prepare.
The Lyons sensei listens, and observes Victoria as she speaks taking in every word.
[Dojima] Well, you’re not wrong. One should never throw away any championship opportunity, but remember overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.
[Victoria] I think I learned that already during the Shogun tournament.
Dojima nods in agreement.
[Dojima] Indeed. Just remember, eight other women are going to be vying for the same thing.
[Victoria] One of which I just defeated.
[Dojima] And Ms. Austin just might be out for some measure of revenge, don’t cast one aside just because you have a victory over them.
Victoria nods, she knew this of course, but somehow it still felt like she just needed to hear it from someone else.
[Victoria] I understand, and I understand how overconfidence can lead me down a road like it did Vincent.
[Dojima] Let your brother worry about himself. His issues with Havoc are his to overcome, you can’t help him, neither can your friend Renee. Vincent needs to take care of Vincent, and you need to take care of Victoria.
[Victoria] I know..I know..I wouldn’t say I’m over confident but I do believe in myself and I’m not going to just count myself out.
[Dojima] Absolutely not. You and Vincent both have the talent to become huge stars in this business, just don’t lose sight of yourselves. Your father would have been proud of you both.
[Victoria] I can do this sensei. I’ve got some momentum on my side, and I have no intention of letting my train derail at this moment.
Dojima nods, and motions to the ring.
[Dojima] Well, good luck to you young Victoria, would you like to run some drills?
Victoria nods back at her sensei, and rolls herself into the ring to get ready
[Victoria] Of course. The more training I do, the better.
[Dojima] Very good, let’s start with some basic running of the ropes.
Victoria obliges, and begins to run back and forth across the ring hitting the ropes, as Dojima looks on in approval, the training continues for sometime as Victoria is put through a rigorous training routine, keeping in her mind that the hard work will pay off in the end.
-------------
The cameras open on Victoria seating on a bench in the middle of a Japanese flower garden, the flora as beautiful and vibrant as Victoria herself. The relaxing scenery is what The Lyoness needed after a vigorous training session at the dojo the other day, now was the part where she spoke to the WWH fans, fans of The Revolutionaries and most importantly, fans of Victoria Lyons. She gives a welcoming smile to the cameras.
[Victoria] Some lessons are learned the hard way. I came into the Shogun tournament assuming I would easily go all the way, and that just didn’t work out for me. Still in the end my goal was basically achieved. By that I mean I have a chance to earn a shot at the Women’s Championship. That’s of course why I desired to be Shogun, so I could claim that shot. I still have that opportunity, just not as Shogun. On that note, I should show my support and respect to Renee Jonae. You got this one girl, go on and become this years Shogun, and just maybe in a few months time, you and I can tear the house down for the Womens Championship. But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves right?
Victoria smiles again at the camera, and flips her hair back after taking a quick breath.
[Victoria] I feel like this match came about because powers that be didn’t know what to do with the handful of us they threw into this little clusterfuck, but it’s a huge opportunity that none of us can afford to let pass us by. Here I was ready to just support my brother and Renee in their respective endeavours, and then WHAM!, the possibility to get that championship match comes along like a surprise christmas present, or I suppose in my case a birthday present.
Victoria smiles at the camera again, keeping her eyes locked on it as she speaks.
[Victoria] News Years Day is coming, and you know what that means. The Lyons Twins are about to turn twenty-one. Vincent before me, I’m sure he’ll be reminding me how much older he is than me again, because our mom gave birth around midnight and we’re technically born in different years, some things never change with him. In any case, we’re both still very young and have so much to give to this business still. I know this upcoming chance to become champion won’t be my last, however I’m not going to be the one who sits there and squanders it. I can’t promise victory on my part, but I can promise that I will make all the other women work for it so that whoever does win, truly earns the right to face someone like Matsuda or Jonae. Both of which in my opinion are two of the very best women wrestlers WWH has to offer...no scratch that.
Victoria shakes her head, and wags a finger at the camera
[Victoria] They’re two of the best WRESTLERS that WWH has to offer, so if you’re going to share the ring with one of them, you HAVE to be ready if you want even a snowballs chance in hell of taking a championship from them. Matsuda is a double champion, and Renee has a victory over the World Champion Havoc. Just understand, it takes a different caliber of talent to stand up against one of them. They are the benchmarks, like it or not.
With the year both Matsuda and Jonae have had, Victorias words carry some truth. That doesn’t mean she herself is going to give up, it just means she knows what lays ahead for her should she win this match and earn that opportunity.
[Victoria] I can’t say I really have too much against the other ladies in this match. Some like NADIA and this Monica Mardona are new around here and likely see this as a chance to make their own mark. Then we have those who have been around for a bit, like Mercedes Vargas, and Nikki Caldwell….
Her tone changes as she says Nikki’s name, it would seem that Victoria just might have herself a bit of a personal target.
[Victoria] Nikki, who my brother has already defeated. What did he call you? Havoc’s ward? Just understand Nikki, I am just as much a part of this war as Renee and my brother are.
She has her serious, fierce lioness eyes on again.
[Victoria] I know what people think. Victoria is the worst Revolutionarie.Victoria is just riding the coattails of Renee and her brother. Victoria can’t stand on her own like the others. To that I say NAY. I AM capable. I CAN stand on my own. I am more than just Vincents sister, or The Third Wheel of The Revolutionaries. My name is Victoria Lyons, and I am a Lyoness. At Shogun, the hunt for my prey begins, and that prey...is the Womens Championship. The Lyoness is on the prowl…
She pauses for a moment, with a quick smirk, the camera zooms closer to her face.
[Victoria] And she WILL be fed.
The cameras linger on Victoria and the floral scene around her for just a few final seconds, before fading to black.

Post by NADIA on Jan 1, 2021 20:46:54 GMT -5
Now we are inside a recording room of some kind as the walls are covered as sitting on one side of a table is the little luchadora known as NADIA, with her manager Janae Nieman sitting to her right, while on the other side of the table is a lanky male of short brown hair. With the room brightly lit it is easy to tell that Janae is in a black blazer and the masked Chilean happens to be wearing a black pair of pants and matching wool jacket, maybe to deal with the colder temperatures outside. It is also bright enough to tell that not only are the walls are covered with some black foamy material, designed specifically to prevent any possible noise pollution, but there are also a pair of propped microphone on the table, one pointing towards their nearest side, attached to some kind of machine that has some buttons facing the male as he presses down on one of said buttons.
“What’s cracking guys, B.A. Styles here hoping you all are having a Happy New Year and it sounds like WWH are going to kick off the year with a blast known as Shogun. And with me right now we have a couple of guests here right now. So please welcome NADIA, someone who will be competing and Janae Nieman…”
Though Styles was speaking with a smile on his face, the person who is wearing a pair of blue jeans with a black shirt motions, with one of his fingerless gloves wearing hands, a desperate plea for the blonde to help him. After looking annoyed for a moment Miss Nieman closed her eyes and took the briefest and shortest of short breaths before speaking up.
“Yes, I am Janae Nieman. I am not only NADIA’s advocate and agent but also someone who has the privilege of calling my friend. I organised this interview with you when my client could’ve easily given that privilege to anybody else…hell, one snap of my fingers and we’re out of here without answering any of your questions. So you better be more respectful when addressing us…got it?”
The sternness in her eyes turns to calm cockiness as Janae leans back in her seat with a smirk on her face. The male is too gobsmacked at the obvious threat to notice how amazed NADIA looks at how well her advocate handled that one situation as he coughs softly.
“Y-Yeah…I got it. Thank you for letting me know Janae. An-Anyway…one of the matches at Shogun is a Women’s Number Two Contender match. Which, from what one of my many sources tell me, starts off like an over the top rope battle royal before the final two standing faces off in a singles match with the winner becoming the number one contender to the Women’s World Championship…after Renee Jonae and Stephanie Matsuda have done waging their war. So Nadia, considering that this will be your second ever match, are you going to treat this match as an experience you can learn from?”
For a moment NADIA looks like she genuinely wants to say something but nothing comes out her open mouth as she instead shuffles back in her seat and glances back towards her friend. Instantly noticing her client’s discomfort Janae does a soft cough to take the Welshman’s attention.
“As Nadia’s advocate I’m the one who’ll answer all questions, unless my client requests otherwise, and as for your question. A learning experience? As if! If every wrestler took every match as a learning experience then there’ll never be a winner, let alone a champion and that is what everyone wants to be at the end of the day. Well, to be exact, that is what the rest of them want…to get a shot at being the next person to join the list of people who failed to win gold. And while those people have their heads up in the clouds, Nadia here is not going to be treating ‘this match as an experience’ she can learn from…she is entering this battle with the force of a tsunami to wash away those other girls and have her on hand lifted up in victory.
And that, B.A. Styles, is not a prediction…it is a goddamn spoiler.”
“A spoiler? Isn’t that some majorly strong words considering not only the fact that Nadia is probably the smallest person in WWH history but also all the people who will be involved in this match? Like ‘The Lyoness’ Victoria Lyons. Considering how successful her brother has been, isn’t it natural to consider her as a possible favourite in a match that could end up becoming wild and unpredictable?”
“My words might be strong but I see no falsehood in any of them. For I have all the belief in the world in my client’s ability to handle any unpredictability. Why? In lucha libre one relies on their own momentum to catapult themselves from one moment to another. And momentum could be the perfect word to use for your so-called ‘possible favourite’…for her momentum has been more inconsistent than a plumber’s estimate. Don’t get me wrong, Victoria has proven time and time again that she can fight on equal footing with the best - and surely she has learned some rather useful tricks up her sleeve from her years as a manager - but it seems rather…peculiar how she only seems to win when nothing important is on the line. So peculiar in fact that the only thing I see Victoria doing is, once again, failing when it matters the most…no matter how loudly ‘The Lyoness’ roars.”
“Well…talking about loudness…maybe Lucy Sixx might cause a noise in this battle?”
“The only noise I expect her to make is the sound of crying at how unremarkable she has been since day one on Dystopia. I mean, what has she ever done to get anyone’s attention?”
“Well this match is going to be her debut-”
“And sometimes it only takes one match to tell someone that they simply do not belong. Hell I expect here to be done with so quickly that she goes back to that Lilac, which - to be honest - sounds like a group that can’t sell out a classroom, and beg for her position in the band back…though I wouldn’t blame them if they refuse such an embarrassment.”
“Well, while we are on the subject of debuts, what about the woman who calls herself ‘The Queen of Mean Street’, Monica Mardona? Is she someone you’d consider to not belong in the ring?”
“Monica…Monica…Monica…who is she again? Oh wait, I remember now, she is the girl that is quite prolific in knocking people out or torturing them to submission. Truth be told she is literally the complete opposite of the previous person. First, Monica is a proven winner in her area of combat experience and can easily translate those skills to in-ring dominance if given a chance. Second of all, fuck she’s tall and she is bound to ragdoll people if given a chance. And thirdly, while Lucy claims to be related to Satan, I just take one look into Monica’s eyes and I swear I see the look of someone who has made the devil her own personal bitch and could use anyone else in the match to prove that she is indeed ‘The Queen of Mean Street’ if given the chance. ‘If given the chance’ being the keyword as there is no way she’ll get such a thing while Nadia is around. She claims to be ‘The Queen of Mean Street’? Well she’ll be nothing more than a pauper when my client is done with her.”
“But what if someone wants to get their hands on Nadia? In her very debut she defeated Latoya Hixx and now with Latoya in the match, maybe she’l-”
“The only reason she is in the match is to just make up the numbers.”
Styles leans back in shock at being interrupted so sharply and the little luchadora even blinks in surprise at how ruthless Janae has been so far. But, not wanting to disrupt her friend, NADIA keeps quiet as the interviewer leans back forward to be near his stationary microphone.
“To be fair, wouldn’t some people think the same of Nadia? I intend no offence but considering that someone like Nikki Caldwell, someone who has frequently been involved in the main event scene, is in this match…wouldn’t it be foolish to not consider her as the odds-on favourite to win contendership?”
“You know what B.A.? I’ll not take personal offence at what you said about my client, this time, since it is true that only a fool will not consider Nikki as the most likely winner. Each match she has been in have been showstoppers and she clearly shows many signs of using her previous championship experiences, as well as her being trained by her own brother, in a smart way…so ‘The Amazon’ has definitely proven herself to be someone who just needs one moment to release herself back onto the main event, maybe even as a champion. But where has she been for the past few months? Was she so afraid of Halloween that she buried herself into a hole and is currently stuck there? Or maybe this Amazon has lost the killer edge needed to hold gold? Well the only way to find out is to see how she does against Nadia as, even at her very best, she will not be good enough to stop my client and no Lasso of Truth can convince me otherwise.”
“Funnily enough there is someone in this match that has lots of experience as champion in the form of Mercedes Varg-”
“You mean the menopausal grump who talks about some Sin City Wrestling everyday while barely mentioning WWH on her twitter? What worthwhile thing has she ever achieved outside of SCW? Your silence is the answer. So don’t be surprised if granny doesn’t remember even having a match at Shogun, let alone not show up to the event. At least somebody like Jonna Austin will show up and fight…she’ll most likely be thrown over the top rope and land on her twin but at least she’ll last ten times longer than the wrong Argentinian WWH wanted to sign. And that’s if she even shows up.”
“So many harsh words here Janae…aren’t you worried that anyone of them will take offence at your arrogance and take out their wrath on Nadia? Li-”
“Like Maggie McIntyre? To be honest, before we came here, my client did inform me about her concerns about how much of a genuine threat ‘Banshee’ is to her and I’m going to paraphrase to you what I told her earlier. Maggie has shown in Dystopia that she is indeed an once in a century talent that, at any moment, can climb on top of any mountain…but Nadia is an Once in a Millennium Talent, Nadia is the very sky above this mountain of contendership and she is more than ready to smite any of them back down, be it Maggie or anyone else in this match, before having herself announced as the Number Two Contender to the Women’s World Championship. You want to call my words arrogance? Fine, maybe I am arrogant…
Or maybe I am that damn confident in Nadia.”
Snap! Instantly realising what the finger snap meant NADIA stood up from her seat before Miss Nieman stood up with a confident smirk on her face. After leading the masked woman to a corner of the room the blonde grabs a handle, that blends almost perfectly in the walls, and opens it to leave the room with her client, leaving a rather dumbfounded interviewer to stare off in shock before blinking a few times and pressing the button to put an end to this recording.

“C’mon. Get up, Blackbird.”
His voice was gruff in Maggie’s ear, but she felt the vibrations in the ground as he crossed over to her and grabbed his blackbird by the collar. Levi hauled her back up, concerned that she took more than a few seconds to find her balance and still ended up clinging to him as the world spun around her. He called her name, but she wasn’t responding and his concern was evident in his tone. “Mags? Maggie?”
She felt his hand tap her cheek before he guided her dark eyes up to his own. Maggie couldn’t focus on him, couldn’t get her voice or body to respond. Her knees gave out after a moment and Levi scrambled to grab her before she hit the ground again. The wolf picked her smaller frame up easily, holding her in his arms as he crossed to the RV. They had been training nonstop today and he hadn’t held back, she hated it when he held back.
“Maggie,” He bounced her gently as he carried her inside, “Maggie, I need you to answer me.”
A big boot to the chest sent her flying and the air was knocked out of her lungs from the force with which she hit that tree. She just...collapsed. He’d seen her do that before, but it was usually a feint. Something to bring him in close so she could strike at some vulnerable part of him. This clearly wasn’t her playing possum. The witch said her name again, gently laying her out on the couch and was rewarded with her hand shooting up to grab his shirt in a whiteknuckled grip. Finally. She inhaled deeply and suddenly, trying to get her eyes to focus so she could see his face and not just a spinning swirl of color.
A moment later, she found her voice at least--the cushions of the couch a familiar sensation under her.
“Fuckthathurt.” It came out quickly, no pause between her words.
Another sigh of relief for him. Maggie felt one of his hands prodding along her spine and up to the base of her skull, thankfully finding no lacerations.
The blackbird shut her eyes and writhed as much as the pain would allow, “Ah-ah...I--I’m done for today, Lev.”
He half-snarled when she tried to move and pushed her down, out of concern, not anger. Her hand came up, wrapping around his wrist, but made no effort to fight him. “You’re done until we go to Tokyo. You were out, you might have a concussion.”
The world was still spinning, but she managed to get her other hand around the back of his neck. Maggie hated it when he held back, but she would have to trust his judgement here. “Uncle Bill...would tell me I did something stupid...and that I deserved to get my bell wrung.” A murmur through gritted teeth, she inhaled sharply as she just tried to scoot up to the pillow on the end of the couch. Her wolf still didn’t let her move.
“Stay still,” He pulled her hand from his neck, bringing it to rest with the other on her chest. “You got more than your bell rung.”
The pressure of his hand on her sternum felt all together too much and not enough. She was shaking when her hand searched for his and she felt the weight of his sigh when he laced their fingers together for her. Maggie at least made the concession not to move again until he said it would be all right. She’d been hit hard before, but never this hard. Hard enough to...still--what she’d seen in the swirling black of unconsciousness just after making contact with the tree?
Maggie closed her eyes now and saw them again, falling feathers as dark as her sable mane. The birds gathered in the trees above them watching the wolf that went his own way retrieve his companion from the ground, their little sister had fallen again--their chattering was overwhelming when she struggled to stand up and force her body to cooperate, only to fall again. She was not ready, she was not strong enough; their words were evident in their caws and calls.
“Are they still out there, Mai’coh?” She whispered, finally opening her eyes and was grateful he’d come back into focus.
His confusion was evident in Levi’s expression, brows furrowing as he looked out the window above the couch searching for whatever she might be talking about. The witch found nothing and leaned down, pressing his lips to her temple. He knew better than to question if she’d seen something out of the ordinary--Maggie paid attention to the world around her, but the rookie had the earth and wind knocked out of her when she hit that tree. “Nothing’s out there now, Blackbird. Just us and the woods, like normal.”
She exhaled and squeezed his fingers with her own.
“It’s not just us anymore,” Maggie’s voice was a whisper. “Something hit me when I hit the tree. Something’s here.”
With those words, she felt the world go dark as her eyes rolled back and she went limp. Maggie didn’t hear his panic, she didn’t feel his heavy footsteps rock the RV as he scrambled to the driver’s seat and turned over the engine. He needed to get her to a doctor.
I’ve never been out of the country. Hell, up until my mom died, I hadn’t ever really been out of the city where I was born. A weight was lifted when she passed from this world and I went out on the road with my dad and uncle to learn this business and keep myself from feeling trapped in a prison of concrete buildings and asphalt.
That seems like a lifetime ago now.
Things changed when he saw me get the shit knocked out of me and pinned during my third real match in a VFW in central Pennsylvania. Something drove my Navajo witch to me and I don’t question what it was. He saw my potential and yeah, he was kinda weird, but he worked with me and asked nothing in return. My dad and uncle gave me a chance to open the door on a new life...it was Levi Tsingine who picked me up and threw me into the wind, letting me spread my wings and learn how to fly.
I’m still learning here and there, but I’m getting better with each test.
Jonna Austin. I still think she’s the prettiest of the bunch of us, but I’ve beaten her twice now if you count winning my second match. Despite that, I know the kind of talent she has and no matter that I’ve beaten her twice, she’ll be coming for my head if I’m not careful.
My second match was a Women’s Division Showcase. Myself, Jonna, the insanely experienced Mercedes Vargas, and a reality TV star talked a big game but who disappeared faster than you can say orange juice after it was all said and done.
I don’t need to remind you who came out on top.
Then it was Thomas Bane, but I beat him too.
Mad Dog was disappointed to learn I’m not related to Reba McIntyre, but not as disappointed as his loudmouth manager was when I beat ol’ Mad Dog fair and square.
Now I’ve got a chance to win the number #2 contender spot for the Women’s Championship at what will be my first Battle Royale. We’ve heard from a few of my fellow competitors so far and I have to say...when will these folks get Jonna’s name right? I mean hell--she’s not just a pretty face, she’s talented as hell. The least you dumbasses can do is get her goddamn name right, because I guarantee if she’s the one suplexing you into next week, she’s gonna slam you hard as fuck to make sure you remember her damn name. I know what she’s capable of and honestly, I can’t wait to face her again. Jonna is amazing.
Latoya spoke up, but she seems...uh...I don’t know how to describe it. Honestly, she reminds me of Punxatauny Phil. You know the groundhog that people say predicts an early spring or long winter in Pennsylvania for Groundhog Day? Latoya pops up, shouts some shit that makes her sound marginally interesting for two minutes and then you forget about her until next Groundhog Day. Do you think she’s caught in her own Groundhog Day movie, reliving the same interview over and over again until she finally gets the words right?
Monica Mardona though, The Queen of Wall Street. Wall Street is full of greedy assholes that need to be constantly bailed out by the government and honestly, the whole system is corrupt as hell...everything about it is a fugazi. Like...everything. It’s all fake and whatever isn’t fake, is damaged beyond repair. She’s said that my head is full of dreams and she’s not wrong about that, but at least my dreams are realistic and attainable. My dreams won’t make other people suffer for the sake of an imagined dollar. But just so we’re clear, I’m here on my own merit. I auditioned. I signed a contract, just like you. Typical of some pretty, rich white lady to think she’s got the right to be the judge of anyone.
Victoria Lyons has friends that are really good and though she stumbled a bit in the beginning, just like Jonna...she’s not one to overlook. She knows what’s on the line in this match and she knows exactly what’s on the other side of the finish line if she manages to get down to the final two. The Lyoness is on the prowl, but this Blackbird is going to see you coming from a mile away. I can’t wait for us to knock heads, Lyoness.
Nadia’s the type to let someone else speak for her, but that’s still not a reason to underestimate her. She’s younger than me and makes me look like a giant, but I have a feeling she’s going to be just as fast as me and hit like a trainwreck. I wish she’d have said something instead of letting that other lady do all the talking, but maybe she’s just doing the smart thing and studying what her opponents have to say. Either way, we’ll find out what she’s got soon enough.
I don’t honestly know what to say about Lucy Sixx except, “Um, not today, Satan.”
So that leaves Nikki Caldwell for last.
You know, it’s easy to say that you’re not impressed by her...that she’s kinda short to be an Amazon (even though anyone who’s read a book knows that Amazons don’t have to be a 6’2” Wonder Woman with a magic lasso). She was the Asylum Champion who only lost the title because she had to face her own brother for it. Nikki is part of Ashes of the Wake...you know the other member? World Champion Havoc who also happens to be the Affliction Champion. He’s not the type to ally himself with anyone less than top caliber talent. You’re an idiot if you write her off.
This is my chance to see another country.
This is my chance to really show the world exactly how high I can fly...maybe soon I’ll be flying past the fairies and punching a hole through Cloud.
Her head still ached, but the last few days had been quiet. Maggie had taken her wolf and the doctor’s advice--she was ready, but she needed to rest until Tokyo was here. She sat in the co-pilot’s chair of the RV, watching the road go by as she scrolled through the Twitter app on her phone. Her eyes widened, a hint of a smile tugged at her lips.
Sometimes following hashtags was a good thing.
“I found where Josh Kaine’s been hiding.”
Her wolf bared his teeth grinning.
“Good.”

Choose Your Own Adventure: Todo o Nada (All or Nothing) the Seventh: Hope Springs Eternal Present Day ♦ Y O K O H A M A • J A P A N
[REC•]
Another year has come and gone. Another year - the 52 weeks of it, which sometimes ranged from shocking, to mournful, but all would not be forgotten finally, even if we wanted to - was finally in the past where it should be.
So now that the last treasure trove of Halloween candy is eaten, the last remains of leftovers from Thanksgiving and Christmas were eaten, the Christmas tree and ornaments were boxed up and stored away for next year, and now that the ball dropped to ring in the new year, just how would 2021 fare for Mercedes Vargas? She didn't know, she wasn't sure, but it had to be better than the previous twelve months she endured over the past year.
While one part of the world was still embracing the last few weeks of the winter months, the other part was enjoying the summer. Here in Tokyo, the weather can be pretty intense as temperatures soar and the humidity reaches rainforest levels, keeping cool was just as important. Nonetheless, Mercedes Vargas takes a moment to indulge in the sights of her surroundings. Shomyo-ji Temple. Usually late in the evenings a lot of people come to the park and walk their dogs so getting here earlier was due diligence on her part. The camera pans on Mercedes standing at the arched bridge overlooking the pond.
"Happy New Year, WWH! Probably wasn't the best way to open this, but it is what it is. We can finally kick 2020 to the curb and welcome 2021. And I guess the powers that be over in WWH decided what better way to kick off the new year than with Shogun. You know what's funny - and this will probably blow your mind too - this is my first time not being in the tournament. Shocking, I know. But hey, all good things, right? This year's tournament had a lot of surprises, some familiar faces, but then it's to be expected. As for me, spending this PPV in one of the non-tournament matches can't be all THAT bad, especially when the consolation prize here is a good old-fashioned battle royal to determine who gets to be the challenger after the challenger for the Women's World Championship.
"Ever had one of those days where you don't feel like coming to work? Do you ever lie awake wondering what you've done, what you're doing, where you're going, and why? This is the stage when you just give up and give in to the facts: You're not getting any sleep tonight. In fact, you might never get sleep again. You will be awake for the rest of your life.
"You know what would be great? Instead of worrying about vaccines and stimulus checks, the president should just make an announcement right now and says that Mondays are cancelled. It would make turning over in my bed worth it.
"Every time you think 2020 couldn't get any crazier, it somehow gets crazier. I don't know how it's possible, but I somehow did. I finally took into account everything I thought I didn't know and factored it in with everything I do know about what I don't know. If I only then what I knew now, maybe I would know more now. As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I take a look at my life and realize there's nothin' left.
"Maybe this is just a exercise in futility, you know? I get that my career is winding down, I get that I've been successful - my championships, accolades and honors show that I've done that and much more - but I'm just wondering when some of that payoff is going to wind up on my table.
"Anyway, just food for thought, I guess."
Unlike most, success had not exactly come easy in WWH for Mercedes, if at all. There were flashes here and there, moments to be had, but in the end, nothing came out of it and she was left with exactly what she started with - nothing to show for it. Somehow, someway, Mercedes believed it was still in there somewhere. Even as the losses piled up. Even as her momentum was stuck in neutral. Even as she was already simply just another warm body simply thrown in matches just for the sake of filling up the occasional match card.
And even as the veteran will spend the first few months of this year especially against the opposition in this battle royal seemingly in a full-out sprint to get at least a win under her belt and at least a feel-good good story to start the year.
"Let's not kid ourselves, 2020 had been a humbling, tough, up-and-down year for me. A few good, a lot of bad of bad, sometimes even frustrating and for me and my talent, that's unacceptable, but then WWH isn't a walk in the park either. It's a murderer's row of talent for a reason. They say it's not even how you start it's how you finish but how can you say that when no match is ever a night off, where every opponent being their A-game on any given Sunday? My move to WWH was supposed to be defining, but for the past three years, instead it's been seen as desperate. Where do I begin, where do I end?"
Questions were made to be asked but some questions don't have answers, which is a lesson very few ever learn. Not that Mercedes pretended to have all the answers, but the question sure are worth thinking about. She pauses, brushes a few strands of hair from her face. Despite herself, Mercedes smiles.
"I guess I should be trying to focus on this weekend, shouldn't I? There's a few faces in this match, and they know who they are. There's some new names here, they know who they are. And then there's me. Yet, I have to admit, these last few months, I'm trying to figure out who I am. I'm lucky to be walking down the halls, lucky to still be on the roster.
She manages a deadpan expression, then drops it as she quickly snaps her fingers.
"I bet a few people are in that same boat, but hope springs eternal. New year, new beginnings. Someone has an opportunity to challenge either Renee or Stephanie for the title and seemingly that's a tall task for anyone, newcomer or veteran. I've stepped in the ring with Renee on a few occasions, I gave her my best shot, but she always had one more in the chamber. Even when challenging for titles in this company, it was always so close, so far. At this stage, it's now an ocean's throw away."
Mercedes offers a slight smirk, adding a shrug.
"But all that can change in a moment's notice. All I have to do is be the last woman standing Sunday night and I'm well on my way to getting back where I need to be, where I SHOULD be, and that's challenging for the Women's Championship. Oh, I've been the challenger before, but this year, I'm not going to be the bridesmaid again. This year will be different. It has to be.
"Now some of those names, like Victoria Lyons and Maggie McIntyre? Don't get me wrong, they've been impressive for awhile now. Oh, and we've crossed paths before. Other names like Latoya Hixx don't stand a snowball's chance, but no one in this match should be overlooked, and that includes me. I've gone the distance against former Women's Champions in the past. To get another shot at Renee, possibly Stephanie? I'm ready, willing, and able and I will stop at nothing to get through every last girl in this match to get that chance. Am I going to guarantee a win Sunday? No. I'm going to guarantee the pursuit of it. Underestimate me at your peril."
She glances down for a long moment while shaking her head, her eyes closed. She looks up again at the camera.
"Estar preparado para lo peor, esperar lo mejor." "Prepare for the worst, hope for the best."
She pauses for effect, lowering her voice just above a whisper.
"Y que la suerte está siempre en su favor.” "And may the odds be ever in your favor."
And with those parting words, Mercedes turns and walks away, but not before turning back at the camera one lasting with a parting glance.

OOC: apologies to my other competitors for a lack of on-camera. my head wouldn't cooperate the last few days, so we're left with the framework sans its crowning jewel.
The sun was bright in northern California, even in December. It was a nice day, winters were mild here and it made doing maintenance on the houseboat a dream. She didn't even need a jacket, her and her easily-chilled Angeleno ways. Nikki had grit under her fingernails and black who-knows-what smudged on her knuckles still, with a beer in her hand blasting out Lonely Island from the top deck. Because what the hell did anyone have a houseboat for if they didn't play That Song? The breeze gusted through, salt in the air made the beer that much sweeter. She'd lost. She'd fucking lost that championship. The first one she'd ever won. To her brother. Who trained her to do this to begin with. Her career was basically in a flaming fucking wreck. She was probably lucky to still be employed on Dystopia at this point after how much she'd lost in the last year. And yet, here she was, cruising around the harbor with Mexican beer, lime and all, blasting party music. There was nothing to fucking celebrate right now... except wasn't there? She lost a title, but at least she'd held it. They were surviving this pandemic, hell. Really? The loud music was drowning out the thoughts she didn't want to think right now. Not today. Today had been hard enough. Today, have a Modelo and Take A Good Hard Look At The Motherfuckin' Boat. Josh certainly didn’t mind. His adoptive father owned a small automotive repair shop and it was a blessing Josh remembered a few things he’d been taught. Maintenance on a houseboat wasn’t entirely all that different to him from maintenance on a car. It wasn’t his forte, but he at least proved himself to not be useless. He pulled himself back up to the roof deck from the railing and promptly reached for a beer. Lonely Island proved to have a few bangers in their audio arsenal. They’d already listened to one of the other songs earlier and had a good laugh from the sheets. He took a pull from the bottle and glanced up at the former Asylum Champion with a smile. “You want me to lube up them joints later on? Shouldn’t pay no one to do that, it’s real easy.” "You know I can't keep a straight face at you saying you're gonna 'lube up them joints', right?" She teased, tipping her beer neck to clink his lightly before taking another drink. There were even cut limes in a bowl to go with them. "But you do have a point."“I mean, I can lube up the joints on the boat and on you later on if’n ya want. Don’t even mind if ya laugh at me the whole time.” Josh paused before speaking again. “You wanna get a Christmas tree?” It was out of left field, but it was almost that time of year. He cracked a smile and joined her in taking another draw off the bottle. “Real one, I mean. Don’t gotta be huge. They smell real good.” "Sexy," she said, raising her eyebrows suggestively. He was a grown ass man now, but he was still a horndog. Just this time... he kept it to her. It'd have been easy to be overly defensive after the last round, she'd have figured, but she hadn't had much of those feelings surprisingly. He didn't make her doubt him this time. "Well, space is a little tight, but I think we could fit one in," she said contemplatively. "I don't know if I've ever had a real one. Not as common in Cali, and mom was allergic. We can find a farm, probably more common up north like this." Josh snickered, finishing off his beer before shrugging his shoulders. “I mean, ain’t got no problem fittin’ in you. Pretty sure I can find us a tree that’ll fit.” It was a terrible joke, considering the implications one could draw from it but he didn’t care. It was just the two of them...and Roo, but thankfully the dog wasn’t one to repeat what she heard. He was from the backwoods, used to just going out with his dad at the end of November to find a tree on their property. Tree farms would be a new experience. “Speakin’ of findin’ stuff—how much longer are you wantin’ to keep people from findin’ out we’re a thing?” He wasn’t in a hurry or tired of keeping quiet, but it was better to ask if he just wanted to know something. “I ain’t so worried ‘bout my standin’ here...but I know you got Mr. Havoc and stuff to take into account.” She almost spat her beer at the fitting in her comment. "Yeah, well, you're-- no. I lose this one, I tap out." It was an amused surrender, though. His next, though, caught her off guard. "Wait, what?" She had to pause with a dumb look on her face for a second. "Well, honestly, I just assumed you wouldn't wanna be lumped into Ashes of the Wake by default, and that was why we were still.... yeah. I... don't mind. I mean, if Havoc has a problem with me having a personal life, he can suck a fuck. Dude don't communicate to me worth a shit. If I find anything out, it's all last minute."“Oh.” Josh looked dumbfounded for a moment before he shrugged his shoulders with a mild chuckle. “I don’t care much about that. Durin’ the first couple of matches before we figured out our stuff, I wasn’t gonna throw my allegiance one way or the other. Truth be told, I got a bigger problem with Renee Jonae and her Revolutionary friends makin’ a lot of bullshit assumptions ‘bout me without even knowin’ me.” He shrugged again, putting the empty bottle on the table next to them. Josh reached an arm around, pulling her nice and close. “But I think I can beat her at Shogun. I’m...I wasn’t all that shocked that I eked out that win over Zolton and Thor. They both wrote me off before even steppin’ in the ring with me. I know what it’s gonna take. Regardless of what happens though, you and me are a thing.” The Hunter paused for a moment, looking over her face with a smile. “You gonna win that Women’s #2 Contender match, right? You ain’t got nothin’ bad loomin’ over you no more and nothin’ ahead of you but open sky.” "I wish I had your confidence in me," she said, tipping her beer up and downing the rest of it. "I'll do my best. I feel kinda crumpled and wobbly, to be real right now. This isn't as bad as it could've been, though, and I think you being here is part of that."“Just ‘cause you been havin’ a rough time o’ things, don’t mean you ain’t gonna win again, Nik.” He pressed his lips to her temple, calloused fingers beginning to stroke her dark locks. “You’re rebuildin’ right now, and I ain’t goin’ nowhere. We’re in all this shit together now, I’ll help hold ya up when you need it. I love ya, so ‘m gonna be right here to build something with ya.” "Josh." She simply said his name at first, looking at him straight on with those big blue eyes, hints of greengold in them. Then she grinned. "For everything that happened before? You turned into a really good man. I almost don't know what to do with you. Other than hold onto you for dear life. I hope you're prepared for that this time." She almost had tears in her eyes saying that, but they were good tears. “Wanna say that I did it all for you, but that ain’t the truth. Did it for me too, I don’t wanna be all fucked up and angry about shit that don’t really matter. I know what I got with you.” His grin was there as he reached up, wiping at some of the wetness at her eyes with the pad of his thumb. “So you’re gonna win that contender match and I’m gonna whoop Renee Jonae--but first we’re gonna get Roo in the truck with us and go find a Christmas tree...maybe go visit my folks too? My mom said she got somethin’ special for you. Oh shit, I--I uh only told my folks ‘bout us. They wouldn’t go blabbin’ to no one, ‘specially not Ma. Ma still wants to punch Mom for that shit at Thanksgiving last year.” "I'm glad I wound up with you and not with somebody like my brother or your mom or... yeah, lump my dad in there with them too. And I'm glad you wound up with someone like me. I'm messy at times, but I think my baggage is close enough to carry-on sized, comparatively." She laid a little kiss on his cheek and just listened for a second. She wasn't grumpy about him telling his adopted parents they were together, she just hoped his mom could see she had good intentions for Josh. The last bit, though? "I feel like this is a story I should know, but I swear I haven't heard it yet. What happened at Thanksgiving last year?"“Oh yeah, Ma was telling Mom about me trainin’ so I could get signed with another promotion eventually. My mom ain’t never been a big fan of me doin’ this--’specially after I got hurt bad in EWA. Jada said somethin’ to the effect of ‘You need to learn to let go’ and Mom got up and smacked her. My mom’s left handed. Jada’s blind on the right side, she never saw it comin’.” He shrugged his shoulders, chuckling to himself. “You ain’t never seen my mom get all riled up. Took me and Pop to hold her back. Best Thanksgivin’ since the one when I was a kid where my grandma got all drunk and fell into the bonfire. We pulled her out, but her wig fell off and burned up.” He couldn’t help but laugh at the memory. “You and me are gonna start spendin’ holidays with my folks. Ain’t as fancy as Miss Lilah’s parties, but just as fun.” "Oh my gods, that sounds phenomenal. Go Mom." As much as Nikki loved wrestling-mom Jada, she had that one coming maybe. "That sounds good to me," she said, placing a kiss on his cheek. "Do you think they'll like me?"“You’re kiddin’ right? I told Pop about you from the get go. He was all ready for you to be part of the family when I told him about you goin’ nuclear in the bathroom at Valhalla. We ain’t never told Mom about that though. She’s better off not knowin’. Don’t wanna make her blood pressure get any worse.” Josh grinned a little wider, inhaling deeply and caught her gaze. “Mom’s gonna be a ‘lil suspicious, but that’s just Mom. She worries a lot, but she’ll like ya. You ain’t...you don’t hide nothin’ important.”A little bit of a grin tugged at her mouth and she shrugged, and for a moment a glimmer of the blood her and her brother shared showed through body language. "I am what I am, no point in trying to pretend to be somethin' else when they'd figure me out eventually. And it seems like there's going to be an 'eventually' to us."“We’re definitely gonna have an ‘eventually’ and I don’t want you to be anything but what you are, Amazon.” Josh’s grin stayed firmly in place. “They’ll like ya, I promise.”Nikki leaned her head against Josh's shoulder and was quiet for a long space. The music boomed on, and she looked out across the harbor at the beauty of the ocean. Sigh. "I can't wait for it to be swimming weather again now that you're back. Skinny dipping in the ocean, first thing in the morning? The best bath ever. Buck was right. I added a winch to haul Roo back up in a harness because she decided that jumping in with me was awesome, by the way." The fond grin at that gave away her soft spot for the doggo. “Yeah, I ain’t keen on jumpin’ in cold water in winter.” He had never really seen eye to eye with Buck Dresden, the former owner of Nikki’s houseboat, but that was probably because Josh was still stuck in that asshole phase at the time. “But you’n me are gonna do that shit come springtime.”

Jonna GymJonna was at the hotel gym in Tokyo, Japan in order to get one final workout in before Shogun was set to take place. Normally the woman would be with her sister, Jamie, but the shorter of the two women had a match of her own coming up. The pair wanted to be there for each other, but they both also understood the circumstances. The blonde woman sighed as she leaned back on the bench, taking a break for a moment, and allowing for her earbuds to slip out. She glanced around the empty gym, glad for the solitude that the empty part of the building supplied her. Granted, it was also 11 o'clock at night, but she enjoyed being the only one in the room. Just as she was about to slip the earbuds back in, Jonna's phone began to ring with a video request coming through from Jamie. The Texas beauty quickly answered the call, a grin on her face when she saw Jamie's face...even if it was a bit sweaty as well. "Hey girl! What're you up to?" "Hey, Jo! Nothing...just finished a workout with Alexa and Lluvia in the gym on the Castle's grounds. How about you?" "Well, essentially the same just alone and in Tokyo...getting in my late night workout. I wanted to get one last one in before I give myself a couple of days to recuperate." Jonna smiled and chuckled when she saw her sister shaking her head at her. The Texas native had always had the same ritual, especially before a big match, so she wasn't surprised when Jamie shook her head at her. The slightly younger one closed her eyes for a minute before brushing a few strands of hair out of her face, wiping some sweat away in the process. When she opened her eyes again, she saw her sister looking at her with concern which caused her to roll her eyes. "You aren't sleeping much, are you? I know how you get before matches like this." "I'm fine, Jamie...my insomnia isn't hitting me like it normally does, so I'm alright. But how about you?! You know I wish I could be there for your match, but you know damn good and well that I'll be watching! How exciting is it to be teaming with Bella? She's always been great to me." "Oh I'm excited as Hell to team with her. I remember her helping you with a lot and teaming with her on occasion. I'm glad she agreed when Lluv asked her to do this match for the fun of it. It'll be a Hell of a match for my debut, that's for sure." Jonna was about to say something again until she heard someone on the other end call out, "Jamie!" She laughed when she recognized the voices of Bella and Lluvia calling her sister. It was amusing to the Texas native when she heard her sister sigh and watched her attempt to crouch down to hide behind something. "They'll find you no matter where you try to hide, honey...especially with it being Bella and Lluvia. Your best bet is to just bite the bullet, so to speak, and see what they need. I'm going to finish this workout and head to bed...don't let them run you too ragged. Love you, Jamie! Good luck, honey!" "You too, Jo...make sure you take care of yourself before this match. You may have that mystery case, but winning this could shoot your career even further than the case will. Love you!" Jonna laughed as they waved then ended the video call, slipping her earbuds back into her ears, letting her music blast through them. She sighed as she adjusted the weight on a different station. She had to give everything she had in the match, and she was going to make sure that the Women's #2 Contendership match was going to be just that for everyone watching.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jonna Backstage
Backstage at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, Jonna was stretching her arms, getting herself ready for her upcoming match against Latoya Hixx, Maggie McIntyre, Mercedes Vargas, Nikki Caldwell, Nadia, Victoria Lyons, Lucy Sixx, and Monica Mardona. Sure there were a lot of people for her to go through, but she was determined that she would be the next contender to the Women's Championship. The Texas beauty had her case, of course, but she wanted to have more opportunity then she already had. The beautiful blonde had just started doing some leg stretches when she noticed a camera focused on her."You know, tonight I'm set to face off against 8 other women tonight in what's going to start as a battle royal until it's the last two women in the ring. Now I've faced off against most of these women once or more over the time that I've been in a WWH ring. Here shortly will no difference though instead of my losing a step, I'll be tossing each one of them over until it's down to me and whoever else is lucky enough to be in the ring."The beauty smiled as she looked towards the camera, still stretching to get herself loosened up and prepared. She sighed as she looked around, nodding at some of the workers though she held a sad smile on her face. Her gaze turned back to the camera, noticing that they had stayed somewhat zoomed in on her face."Normally my sister would be with me as my manager, but Jamie is currently preparing for her very first match on Tuesday. I'm sad that she won't be here to see this match or to cheer me on just as I'm sad that I won't be there to watch her first match in person. However, we both knew that this could happen when she signed a competitive contract.
Now then...I beat Chris Matthews back in October for this mystery case, something that will finally be opened tonight to have the contents revealed. Whether I win this contendership match or not, I do still have the case going for me. These woman are amazing wrestlers, highly talented in and out of the ring, but I have this to say to Monica...who the fuck are you? You'll probably be one of the first ones out tonight...it won't surprise me either way. Maybe you should go back to wherever you were before you signed a contract here. Now then, I'll see you in the ring, ladies.
And good luck on Tuesday, Jamie...love you!!"
