Route 119 Danville, WV September 21, 2020 Off Camera
It was a silent ride back from Danville to the Wright family farm in Big Ugly. Mark had picked his Dad up from physical therapy, since his Mom had to work overtime at the Piggly Wiggly and couldn't pick Brody, Marks father up afterwards.
Mark was still disappointed with himself over his loss at Sanatorium, and assumed his father was as well. Mark spits his tobacco juice into an empty Mountain Dew bottle, as he stairs out over the road, and Brody exhales his Lucky Strike smoke out the rolled down window into the crisp September air.
The silence of the ride is defining. The radio is off, both Wright men sit silent, and there is no cell service to even give the opportunity for an interrupting call or chime of a text. Finally, the elder Wright breaks the silence as he flips his cigarette butt out the window.
Mark...
I know, I know Dad. I let you down. I let the family down. Sh*t, I let myself down. What the hell was I thinking? Shoot, I might as well call Roscoe, see if I can just get back on at the mine.
Mark, I'm proud of you.
Mad Dog almost swerves off the road because he is staring at his father and not where he is directing his truck. Mad Dog turns his attention back to the road, but Brody looks at his son with a smile of pride.
I don't say it enough Mark, but I'm damn proud of you. It doesn’t matter that you lost son, hell everyone loses here and there. Only one perfect man ever walked the Earth, and he died up on that cross for us.
Thing is though Mark, you went all in. You did what me and your grand pappy could never do, and you went at it full time. It takes a lot of guts to risk it all on the road like that, but you did it.
Plus, you put up a hell of a fight against an awfully tough opponent. That match could have ended with your hand raised just as easily as it did with his.
Mad Dog glances over at his father and the two smile at each other.
So, cut that going back to the mines bullsh*t out. What'd I always tell you anyway?
Keep your nose to the grindstone.
You're damn right.
Mad Dog grips the steering wheel tighter and a big smile comes across his face.
You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But, it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done.
Mad Dog has a look of intrigue on his face, and then changes to a smirk.
Ain’t that from Rocky?
Brody shrugs his shoulders and shakes his head.
You know I ain’t good at that sappy, motivational sh*t.
Mad Dog and is Dad both laugh and Mad Dog shakes his head in amusement. As the laughter subsides. The elder Wright offers one last bit of wisdom.
But really Son, you got more talent than me and your grandpappy put together, you keep your nose to that grindstone, and you keep chasing that dream and you’ll make it. One loss doesn’t ruin your career, and it doesn’t knock you out of that tournament. Keep grinding son, and remember that no matter what happens, your old man, and your whole family are proud of you.
Mad Dog smiles, and nods his head in agreement. Mad Dog’s face shows a look of determination as he looks over at his father and then back down highway 119.
Daddy worked like a mule mining pike county coal. He messed up his back he couldn't work anymore. He said one of these days you'll get out of these hills. Keep your nose on the grind stone and out of the pills.
See the ways of this world just to bring you to tears. Keep the lord in your heart you'll have nothing to fear. Live the best that you can and don't lie and don't steal. Keep your nose on the grind stone and out of the pills.
Dog Pound Training Facility Big Ugly, WV September 22, 2020 On Camera
The Dog Pound training facility, aka, Mad Dog’s garage, and backyard. Mad Dog has never been one to pump iron in the weight room, he had working man muscles, and his in-ring style reflected that. So, when Mad Dog no longer was breaking his back by digging coal all day, he needed a new training regiment, and while Mad Dog cannot bench 315lbs, he can split wood, dig ditches, haul full wheel barrels, and bust up rock all day long. Mad Dog may now be a professional athlete, but he will always be a working man at heart and in spirit.
Mad Dog has a new fire lit under his ass, both from his loss and from his dad’s motivational words. He currently hangs from a tree branch of an Oak tree that has stood in the backyard of his home for two decades. It has provided shade from the heat, a climbing spot for the children, and a good place to watch the birds and squirrels, but today it is a chin up bar. Mad Dog is shown pulling about fifteen pull ups and then dropping to the ground landing on his feet.
“You need to take a break; you are over doing it. Over training is just as bad as under training”, Sunny says while sitting on a small wooden bench under the tree.
Mad Dog is bent over breathing heavy, and looks over his shoulder at Sunny. Mad Dog slowly stands up right and turns to look at Sunny.
I ain’t got time to rest Sunny, I gotta get ready for that big ass monster Phantom.
Mark, are you really worried about that big goof? He might be two and oh in this tournament, but he’s had a pretty easy first two rounds, he hasn’t been tested like you have. You are going to be his first test, and I can tell you right now that big goof isn’t going to pass that test. The Phantom is nothing more than a generic big man, and a generic spook show freak.
You already knocked off that spook show freak Charlotte Ross, and now you are fighting the boss freak. He’s just another creepy freak, who watched one too many cheesy horror movies and now likes to dress like a sick freak. I bet Phantom, and the rest of the Soulless idiots are jumping for joy right now.
Why’s that?
With all these businesses that have went under, there are bound to be double the amount of Spirit of Halloween stores popping up, so these sicko goofs can load up on new outfits for their cosplay freak show parties they have in their parent’s basements.
Sunny starts laughing at the thought of The Order of The Soulless shopping at Spirit of Halloween
Huh, this funny to you Sunny?
Sunny stops laughing and sits up straight, a bit taken aback at the tone of Mad Dog, and the anger he sees in Mad Dogs eyes.
Sunny, this ain’t a damn joke buddy, this is my livelihood, this how I eat.
Mad Dog turns from Sunny and looks into the camera. His eyes are laser focused like never before, and his spirit seems more hardened from his recent loss.
Phantom, you done rolled over Tora Nishida and Ace Michaels, and now you coming up on a head on collision with the Mad Dog. Yeah, you are a big scary monster who is hellbent on destruction, and yeah, you scare the sh*t out of a lot of people. But I’ll tell ya right now though, you don’t scare me.
Na, you wanna scare me? You wanna give me nightmares that make me lose sleep? You show me a father, with two kids and a wife who depend on him to provide for them. They were two months behind on all their bills, they were wondering how they were going to put food on the table and keep the lights on. Well, that man he goes and gets himself a good job, he does good at the job and starts making some money and catching those bills up, and then BAM!
He suffers a devastating defeat. Devastating to his moral, his ego, and his wallet. Then he has to go home and look his little kids who think he hung the moon, and look his wife who is the rock of the family, he has to look them in the eyes and tell them he lost. He has to tell them that he lost, he has to tell them things are going to be tight again because he didn’t get that pay window bonus.
THAT!...
That is what scares me.
Yeah, you might be a monster of a man. You damn sure big enough to be considered a monster. You can portray yourself as some dark satanic, mentally deranged monster all you want, but it won’t scare me one bit. I know God wins, and the only thing that gets me shook is the IRS, the old taxman. You don’t scare me boy, and I’m telling you right now I don’t buy your darkness bullsh*t. I didn’t buy it against Ross and I ain’t buying it against you.
You want to be all dark and metaphoric, but at the end of the day you are a man just like me. You are nothing more than flesh and bone, just like me, and everyone else. Your love the of the darkness and the occult doesn’t make you special, and it dang sure don’t change the fact that when I drop you on your face with the Wright way or crush your skull when I make you go mad, you ain’t getting up.
You might be bigger than me, but I’ve beat a lot of people bigger than me. You might have this outlandish darkness in your heart and in your soul, but I’ve got the light that shines in me that will chase out the darkness
Not to get too elementary for you, but there is a story we need to remember. Once there was a small fighter who stood up to an evil giant that frightened everyone and had crushed all of his challengers. Everyone was afraid of this evil giant, but the smaller fighter stepped up to challenge him, When he was mocked that little fighter named David said, “you come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the LORD will deliver you into MY HANDS, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head”.
Now, I ain’t claiming to be the man David was, and I know you aren’t Goliath. But you come representing the Order of the Soulless, and a country like Russia. Me, I’m representing my homeland, a land that is God fearing, and loves their freedom. What you are representing is in direct contrast with what my homeland and I stand for. Phantom, we could not be more different but, we do share one common goal.
That goal is to win this Shogun tournament, I don’t know what you are fighting for, sh*t , you probably don’t even know what you are fighting for. But I know what I am fighting for, and I know that I am willing to give every last drop of myself to win this tournament, and if I am to win it, I must defeat you. I ain’t looking to cut your head off, but I am looking to make you…GO MAD!
AAAAHHH ROOF! ROOF!
(Fade out.)

As the scene opens, we appear to be in a darkened corner area in the yard of the Sanatorium. The precise location is not presently known as this time. Then we see a cloaked figure approaching, walking with a purpose.
Mysterious Cloaked Figure It will simply be the way of things. The new world order of the Sanatorium. The rule of the Order of The Soulless and "The Unstoppable Killing Machine" Phantom will be the rule of all here in this dark and gloomy place.
Then the Mysterious Cloaked Figure continues walking until they reach the Sanatorium itself. Then they turn to look around for the briefest of moments, before disappearing back into the darkness with which it more than likely came from.
Then we come upon "The Unstoppable Killing Machine" Phantom sitting in his cell when he hears one of the guards/orderlies coming towards his cell door.
Guard Hey, it's time for some supervised exercise. We don't need a repeat of previous shenanigans when it comes to your exercise time.
"The Unstoppable Killing Machine" Phantom Me and shenanigans? Now, why would I ever do that kind of stuff?
Then he walks up to the cell door window and has a genuine look of what are your talking about upon his face. The guard carefully opens the door as the guard puts on a special pair of manacles just designed for someone like Phantom. Then they walk to the exercise area as the previously seen Cloaked Figure is seen just out of sight but visible to the cameras.
Guard Ok, you are in the exercise area. I am going to keep an eye on you just to make sure you don't pull off anything.
Then the guard goes to stand at attention a good enough distance away so that Phantom can actually attempt to exercise undisturbed. Then after a few moments, the Cloaked Figure from before shows up in the corner of the exercise area. As Phantom is lifting some dumbbells, the Figure creeps ever closer. But as they try to creep up, their foot clangs against a weight that was left out.
"The Unstoppable Killing Machine" Phantom What do you want, Cloudy Joe? Can't you see that I am trying to train for my match against Mad Dog at the moment?
Cloudy Joe walks up to be in his line of sight now.
Cloudy Joe I do. But are you sure, you are ready for a man like that. He did beat Charlotte Ross, your sister-in-arms within The Order of The Soulless before making himself enter the Sanatorium side of the bracket for Shogun.
Phantom just continues to do some curls with the dumbbells before walking over to a weight bench and puts several weights onto each side before laying down on the bench.
"The Unstoppable Killing Machine" Phantom Spot me, Joe if you don't since you are here.
Cloudy Joe begrudgingly spots him. Then Phantom starts doing some reps while he continues to speak.
"The Unstoppable Killing Machine" Phantom Yes Mad Dog, many people like you in the past have said that I am big scary monster and that while "fear" is one of my biggest tactics, I don't always use it. For you see, not all monsters rely on fear to win at the mental game. Being bigger and stronger than most of opposition helps out a lot as well. While, I may appear to be a monster, I am still a human being of sorts. So, while you claim to be a Mad Dog, are you one truly? Can you truly rip a man's throat out or even rip flesh off of bone like I can? For you see Mad Dog Mark Wright, Fear is just a state of mind and people like me know just how to make you fear things more than what you believe to be reality or even perceive to be real.
Then after doing about 15 sets of bench pressing, he hands the bar to Cloudy Joe, who carefully and haphazardly manages to put the bar back. Then Cloudy Joe walks once more to be in front of Phantom.
Cloudy Joe While The Lords of Light and Darkness are quite impressed with your roll so far, Phantom; they want more.
Phantom scoffs at Cloudy Joe.
"The Unstoppable Killing Machine" Phantom Of course they do. They always want more "light" and "darkness" spread upon the world. But maybe I for want this for me and not just The Order of The Soulless as a whole. As one of the most famous Lords of Light and Darkness stated...
"After the chaos, we will come not as conquerors but as a balm. To sooth and heal, to give hope where there was none. A wolf in sheep's clothing if you will. We shall restore order, stabilize the nations of the world and the world economies overall. By the time they feel our hands at their throats, it will be too late for their salvation."
I take those words to heart, Cloudy Joe. And Mad Dog, while you may be a man of God-Fearing convictions, I too have things that even scare me, "The Unstoppable Killing Machine". And one of those things is angering The Lords of Light and Darkness within The Order of The Soulless. I have only had the pleasure of meeting them once and that meeting went as well as can be excepted. I am still standing before ready to rip you a new one for taking bad about me and my family. For you see Mad Dog, you claim to be a family man, I am as well but of an entirely different lot. We may have not be "blood" family but we are family and I would do anything to improve the betterment of my family even it means taking another man away from his for the rest of his natural life.
Then Phantom starts to walk towards the camera as the Guard notices what he is doing.
Guard Don't you dare break another camera, Quinn and the Warden are still trying to get the ones you broke previously fixed and upgraded.
"The Unstoppable Killing Machine" Phantom How dare you accuse me of destruction of property? I would never intentionally break something as expensive and useful as a camera. Guard, do you have a family?
Guard I do. I have a wife and two loving children.
"The Unstoppable Killing Machine" Phantom That's nice. Would you like to return to them in one piece or would you like something broken or missing?
Guard Please don't hurt me. I would like to return to my family in one piece pelase. Just don't break the camera, that's all I ask.
Phantom nods before turning once more to face the camera.
"The Unstoppable Killing Machine" Phantom You see Mad Dog, I put the fear of PAIN and DEATH and not just GOD to the guard here. Do you really think you will get the same luxuries of a reprieve? I DON'T FUCKING THINK SO! YOUR ASS IS MINE COME SANATROIUM! After I am done with you, then I will move onto the next victim whether that be Aaron Jones, Abby Evans, Travis Levitt or anyone else who dares step up to me in that ring. Your days are numbered Mad Dog, so says The Unstoppable Killing Machine.
Then he waves to the camera to indicate that Mad Dog's days are indeed numbered. Then he walks over to the guard and motions that he is done exercising for the time being. Then the Guard puts the specially designed manacles back onto him as he ushers him back inside as the scene starts to fade to black. Then we hear Cloudy Joe speak one more time.
Cloudy Joe You cannot break the light that powers us, Mad Dog. You will get what's coming to you at Sanatorium. That's when you fully learn what fear is. Hope to not see you in the Obituaries.
Then like Dracula, Cloudy Joe laughs manically as he disappears back into the darkness once more as the scene then fully fades to black.
