**--The scene opens up inside Cedrone’s apartment. We see Jonny standing at his huge panoramic window looking out over the city, dressed in black dress pants and a white satin short-sleeve shirt. Behind him comes Gloria who leans her head on his left shoulder.--**
“Hey you.”
**--Jonny sports a bit of a grin now as Gloria’s voice soothes his mind, even if for a moment--**
“Hi baby. How are ya?”
“I’m good! A little worried about you. How are you holding up?”
“Aw! I appreciate it, but there’s no need to worry baby. It doesn’t hurt a lot.”
“It was a great match!”
“Mr. Matthews was definitely ready for that match. He sure wanted his Dystopia debut to be memorable.”
“He did a great job! That’s for sure!”
**--Jonny turns and faces Gloria and holds her in his arms.--**
“As did you! Getting you and Pandora thrown out of the arena, trying to keep her in her place!”
**--Gloria smiles as she lays her head on his chest.--**
“I couldn’t let her or Matthews get the best of you without having to answer for it! We love and protect one another, remember?!”
“I do love you!”
“I know.”
**--Gloria looks up, lovingly into Jonny’s eyes--**
“I love you too!!”
**--They begin to kiss when Jonny’s phone begins to ring. They both sigh in frustration, but choose to ignore it. They kiss through the ringing, stops ringing, then begins to ring again. They finally decide to answer the phone. Jonny looks at the phone and looks a little perplexed.--**
“Who is it?”
“Noah Hanson”
“I wonder what he wants!”
“There’s only one way to find out.”
**--Jonny answers the phone--**
“Hello?”
“Yes sir! How are you doing tonight?”
“Thank you! Mr. Matthews did a great job himself! I definitely look forward to meeting him in the ring again!”
“Oh really? Okay!”
“Wow! Okay!”
“Well sure! I get it! I can’t blame ya at all sir!”
“Right. Well, it sounds like we’re going to blow the roof off the place.”
**--Jonny chuckles a little--**
“If the place had a roof, that’s right sir.”
“Okay then! You do the same sir! Goodbye.”
**--Jonny taps the button on his phone to end the phone call and put his phone back in his pocket--**
“Well? What’d he want?!”
“To let me know that because Mr. Matthews and I went to a double countout and we didn’t have a winner in our match, we will have our rematch on this week’s Dystopia in the co-main event!”
“That’s wonderful baby!”
“He said that we WILL have a winner because there will be no-disqualification.”
“Oh! Wow! But your…”
“It’ll be okay. It’s fair at least. We’re both still feeling the effects of that match.”
**--The scene fades to black as we see Jonny and Gloria embracing while looking out of their huge window. The scene fades back in as we see Jonny setting up the camera to record a few words. He gets it set where he wants it then heads back to his couch. The International Championship is sitting proudly on the coffee table in front of him. Jonny is sitting down on the couch, leaning forward with his arms crossed across his knees, looking at the International Championship.--**
“You and I both know what we have to do at Dystopia, don’t we Mr. Matthews? Your Dystopia debut match didn’t go quite as you planned it. That’s okay though. It didn’t go the way that I planned either. I have to give credit where credit is due though Mr. Matthews. I knew that you wouldn’t be a pushover. I knew that it wouldn’t be an easy victory. You’re too good for that. You’re too talented to be an easy win! I had high expectations going into that match, and I have to hand it to ya…you exceeded even those expectations Mr. Matthews.”
**--Jonny looks into the camera--**
“Neither one of us came out of that match unscathed, did we Mr. Matthews? I put you through Hell, and you put me through Hell! It was a back and forth kind of match where nobody had the true upper-hand at any point! And I want to take this opportunity right now to thank you for such a great fight! But through all of that, we stand as two battle-scarred warriors. You with your ribs and I with my shoulder.”
“Oh. Wait. You didn’t think that I’d forget about your ribs did you? Much like yourself Mr. Matthews, I expose the weakness – or weaknesses – of my opponent and I use it to my advantage. Don’t think for one second that I didn’t hear or see that you were having troubles breathing during the match. Don’t think that I didn’t see the pain in your face with each breath you took. Don’t think I didn’t hear the labored breathing that you were forced to do because it hurt so badly.”
“Now I’m not going to sit here and tell you that I maliciously take advantage of my opponents' weaknesses. That would be downright inhumane! I’m not here to go out of my way to hurt anyone, to put them on the shelf! What purpose does that serve? What I do is take the weakness and I use it as my own personal control device, I guess you can say. When I want the upper-hand, don’t think for a second that I’m afraid to give you a good solid punch or kick to the ribs, just to let you know that I can take control – just like that!”
“As you may, or may not know as of this recording Mr. Matthews, we’re set to have a rematch at the next Dystopia. This Sunday, August 02nd to be exact. In this match, unlike the last one, there must be a winner! And do you know how they plan on making sure that there will be a winner? They’ve put us in a no-disqualification match Mr. Matthews!”
“Now, I think I know what you’re thinking. I think you’re thinking that you just came to Dystopia from the Sanatorium. I think you’re thinking that if you can survive in THAT Hell-hole, you can survive anything! And I’m sure you can! And I also think you’re thinking that because I’ve been pushing the message of love and unity and all of that, that I wouldn’t be much of a fight for you in such circumstances.”
**--Jonny just grins at the camera--**
“Mr. Matthews, if you are indeed having those thoughts – you couldn’t be more wrong my friend! You should know by experience just by our match at the last Dystopia that I’m not a pushover. You should know by watching my matches with Jacoby Spencer that I will do whatever it takes to get the win! He was pretty vague when he talked to me, but Mr. Hanson made mention that maybe – just MAYBE – the winner of this match will get something out of it in the end. No matter how vague he is about it, and no matter whether the winner truly WILL get something out of it in the end or not, I’m intrigued and I want that win!”
“Even with not getting the win Mr. Matthews, you should be extremely proud of yourself and your debut on Dystopia! You fought hard, but unfortunately that wasn’t quite enough, was it Mr. Matthews? Then again, I guess you can argue that it was enough. It did warrant a return match after all. Right? Sure! Always look for the silver lining in things Mr. Matthews. You and I will meet in the fight for our lives and you have the opportunity to right what I’m sure you feel to be a wrong. You get the opportunity to get that win that you feel that you deserve! And you get that opportunity to do so in the type of matches that you’re used to. Certainly you have the upper-hand over me in this style of match…right?”
**--Jonny shrugs his shoulders--**
“Eh…I don’t know about that. You may think that seeing as where you came from. As I said earlier, with you coming from the Sanatorium, everyone would think that you have the advantage over me in this style of match. And people think that with my preference of having scientific matches and putting on wrestling clinics that I’m out of my league with no-disqualification matches. Also, with being the International Champion, and being the Champion of the People, some may assume that I may have softened my demeanor. I guess we all need to wait and see come August 02nd, to see just what I’m capable of, don’t we?”
“I must admit Mr. Matthews, I really don’t know a whole lot about your past, but in the same breath you don’t know a lot about mine either. In only knowing what little I know about your time here in World Wrestling Headquarters and knowing my own past, I’m reminded of a line from a movie. ‘Ah, you think darkness is your ally. You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it…’ I’ve been involved in matches – in fights – that make the most extreme of matches seem like a walk in the park Mr. Matthews. I’ve been in street fights, blood baths, I’ve even been in a match where the ring was suspended from the ceiling of an arena. I wouldn’t recommend that for a date night, let me tell ya.”
“The point in me saying all this Mr. Matthews is that if either one of us think that we have the advantage, it’s a false sense of security my friend. We both have experience in these kinds of matches. We’re both less than 100% due to the fight that we had at the last Dystopia. We both have a little something to prove. And above all that? There may be something hanging in the balance for the winner of this fight. We’re fighting on a level playing field believe it or not Mr. Matthews.”
“There’s one thing that you need to remember though my friend. You’ve already made a lasting impression. You went through Hell with me and showed the entire world that you have what it takes to hang with the best in the business. Bigger and better things are in your future Mr. Matthews! And no matter, win or lose on August 02nd, you have already proven that you belong on Dystopia! Despite our already heated rivalry, I for one welcome you to the brand with open arms Mr. Matthews! The more the competition the better Dystopia and World Wrestling Headquarters are for it! Just do yourself a favor and don’t confuse this showing if respect as a sign of weakness or a sign of my trying to lull you into a false sense of friendship out of fear or necessity. You and I both know that we each have to do what we have to do to win this fight, for our own good and for the prize that may or may not be dangling in front of us. Don’t be surprised or disappointed when I get the win though Mr. Matthews.”
“To the winner goes the spoils!”
**--Jonny grabs the International Championship, sits back on his couch with the Championship on his lap, looking dead into the camera as the scene fades to black--**

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PROLOGUE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
… … … … …
Two weeks, it's been two weeks since that day that Jonny and I went at it. Since that day, my mind was wondering what the hell happened that day. How did it happen, and why?
Now the day is nearly here when Jonny and I once again go at each other in a match where there are no rules. I have to say that this is a fight that I never thought would happen again, but it is.
Two weeks ago, it was my very first match back on the blue brand since being released from that hellhole I like to call Sanatorium. I guess you can say that I quite enjoyed it. When I found out I was facing Jonny, I was ecstatic. But after the outcome, I wasn't happy about it. The first night and I couldn't even pick up a win. But then here comes Noah Hanson being upset about the outcome of the match and seeing how he expected a winner.
So, now we fight, again. This time he wants someone to be the winner, and that means there're no rules or count-out. Honestly, I'm okay with the match because I know that this match is right up my ally. But is this a match for Jonny? Who knows honestly? All I know that there for sure will be a winner.
Jonny, this match is something that I know very well. I know a thing or two about not following the rules.
That's the thing I love about these matches. It makes everything that much more intense, which is fine by me. Because I know it's something that the crowd wants to see. I want nothing more than having us going at it and giving those fans what they paid for. I know that better than else.
I know that I will bring the fight to you as I hope you would do the same. Every step I take is a step towards what I want and what I need. Everything that I've done here hasn't been easy, and I know that. I know that trying to be the best in the company will never be easy. Heck, Sanatorium wasn't easy, and Dystopia? Dystopia is ten times as difficult. But the reward for being on the blue brand has its perks, and that's money, freedom, better food, and better travel plans. Trust me, you don't get any of that in the Sanatorium.
But you know something? I will show up and give you the fight that you wanted, Jonny. I just hope you're ready for what's to come? Just hope you know that facing me will never be an easy challenge.
When we fight, it's going to be the day where you'll never for the name, Chris Matthews. … … … … …
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Scene 1 » Breaking Through ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*What happened two weeks ago was nothing more than a mistake. The match left him speechless. He wasn't sure what to think or what to say, but he knew that he had to show up and deal with the problem again. Can Chris this time beat Jonny and prove that he's the better competitor in the middle of the WWH ring? Who knows, honestly?*
*But he knows that he has no choice but to get in the ring again and finally prove that he can hang with the toughest superstars on Dystopia. Sure, it felt easy on the Sanatorium brand, but it wasn't. All the matches that Chris goes in ain't easy, and Chris is fine by that. But the double count-out wasn't on his bucket list. This time there are no rules and no disqualification. There HAS to be a winner. Could this be the match that'll skyrocket Chris's career to the very top? Only time will tell for this match.*
*Chris is seen sitting down on his cement steps, looking out in the distance. All he can think about is what happened against Jonny, and how it ended, the way it had ended. Chris is wearing a white t-shirt, loose-fitting jeans, black sneakers, and a black fitted cap on his head. He has a beer standing below him on the cement walkways from his steps to the sidewalk. Pandora comes out of the home wearing one of Chris Matthews's wrestling t-shirts, black leggings, and black sneakers. She sits down next to him while the kids are in the house sleeping for the night.*
"You was kinda quiet at dinner, Chris. Is everything okay with you?"
"Yeah, I'm good."
*She knows that tone in his voice and can tell that he isn't. She wrapped her arm around his arm and rests her head on his upper arm.*
"Chris, I know you're not. Do you know how I know? Because of that tone in your voice. Is this about what happened two weeks ago against Jonny?"
"Yeah, I guess you can say it is. That ending wasn't what I was expecting. I wanted to win that match so much, but I didn't. It resulted in a freaking double count-out. I know I'm better than that."
"You didn't win, but neither did he. So, that should count for something, right? Besides, you get that win when you face him again."
"I know I do. I'll admit that I'm worried, but I think you should focus on your match. You have a huge chance to face Stephanie. All you have to do is get past Renee Jonae, Mercedes Vargas, and Lilith Evans to get that chance. I know you have what it takes to win. Besides, if you win, you and I get to celebrate like we always wanted to."
"Don't worry, I got this in the bag. I know each one of those ladies is looking for the shot as am I. And Chris, you are still as talented as the day I met you. You got a gift to be the best that you can. Sometimes it doesn't go your way, other times it does."
"I knew there was a reason I'm marrying you. You always seem to see the best in me when I don't see it. For that, I thank you. So, is the children in the bed right now?"
"Yeah, they are. But Ryan is waiting for you to head upstairs and read him a bedtime story. Ever since you came into his life, he always wanted to be close to you. I'm his mother, and I took care of him when you weren't around."
"In my defense, I didn't even know you were pregnant. Why didn't you come and tell me?"
"Because you were with that slut, Kim Pain."
"Hey now, there is no reason to call someone that. She wasn't a slut, all right. she was my kind of normal."
"Normal? Please. Anyone who knows you know that you're far from normal. But it doesn't matter, anyway. You're here with me, and we will be married and finally be a family."
"Aren't we technically a family, anyway? We have two children together, and I believe that would count as a family?"
*She giggles while holding onto him tighter. She was so in love with Chris, and that will never change for her. Chris looks up at the night sky and hears the crickets chirping in the yard. Pandora looks up at Chris and continues to smile brightly.* "When I first met you, I wasn't sure what to think. When I saw you, I knew that we would end up together forever. But when I saw you with that other girl, I was so heartbroken and didn't know what to do. It felt...it feel like my entire world came crashing down. I thought it would never get better."
"And you shouldn't say things like that. I made mistakes in my life, Mellie. Heck, I nearly lost you countless times. But no matter what, I always seem to find my way back to you and into your arms. But one thing remains true, and that is that I love you. You're my Padme, and I wouldn't change that for the world."
*She gently closed her eyes as she was in a world of bliss with Chris. His words are like magic and never have to act the tough girl known as Pandora. She can just be Mellie, and that's what's important.*
"With you, I don't have to be that girl in the ring. I can just be me without being judged."
"You shall never be judged, babe. As Travis said, When the world judges you, I shall be there to judge the world right back. I changed it up a bit, but you understand what I mean. Anyway, who judges you will have me to deal with and you know me, babe, and understand that ain't the type to say nice things when they talk bad about you. Anyway, we should get to bed. We have a busy day tomorrow."
*Chris leans down and grabs the bottle of beer and dumps it on the grass. They stood up and headed inside as the lights went out the door locks.* ================================
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Scene 2 » Monster ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*There are monsters that live deep inside the mind of Chris Matthews. After what happened two weeks ago, it still doesn't feel real. How can that be when it happened in real-time? Chris Matthews knows that he has to be on his game this time around. If he needs to beat Jonny, then he needs to unleash a monster inside of him. But he knows that if he shows that side that he would end up being the man that he swore to forget.* *The scene comes up and we see Chris Matthews sitting down on the beach wearing a black dress shirt unbuttoned, black loose-fitting shorts, black sneakers, and black tinted shades. You can hear the waves of the ocean splashing the sand of the beach. The sun was up, but not for long. His ribs are still hurting like a bitch, but that because of the battle that he went through with Jonny.* *The camera moves closer to Chris and speaks about everything that's been happening since that fateful night two weeks ago.* "Two weeks have passed since that night. Two weeks of thinking about everything that has happened to me. My body is still hurting, but I know I have to continue to fight. But it's hard to do that when I still have a hurt rib. I know I shouldn't be there, but I have no choice. The choice that's buried deep inside of me always tells me to fight." *He raised his head and took a second to think about what he was saying.* "I have choice. I have to stand up and fight. The fight that shall be brought to Jonny. But then I realized two weeks ago that you and I became enemies. But I know that can't be because I just arrived in Dystopia. Is it possible to have an enemy already? I guess it is what it is." *He gets a smile on his face as his head looks down at the ground. He grabs a handful of sand and brings it up as some of it slips through his fingers.* "The sands of time have always been interesting for me. Like the sand that runs through my finger it can..." *The last of the sand drops slipped through his fingers and onto the ground. He looks at the camera and gets a smile on his face.* "...Run out! Jonny, you have something that I never thought was possible. Heck, I think you got a hell of a lot of talent. But no matter how much talent you have, your time will run out and it will run at Dystopia. Do you want to know how I know? Because I believe in it. Everything that I've ever done has been to make myself better and make it known that Chris Matthews is still at the top of his game. Sure, I have my downfalls - who doesn't? But you need not worry about that, Jonny. Two weeks ago, you had the same outcome as me, and you know that you can't stand it,= as much as me. Now, we have Noah Hanson demanding that there should have been a different outcome. Now, he wants a NO DQ match where anything and everything goes. I have to say that peaked my interest. I want everything to be right in this world, but I can't do that because of what happened between us. This match? This match will lead both of us to a dark place where none of us wants to go. I don't want to go down that road where I once before. But I know I don't have a choice in the matter. I have to fight you. I have to hurt you. I have to make you suffer." *He pushes himself up from the help of the tree that he was leaning back against. His eyes never went off the camera.* "You know. People look at me and think sometimes I have that monster buried deep inside of my soul. Honestly, I can say that. But I know that I need that monster buried deep inside me and not let it out. Last time I let it out, I broke somebody's jaw. Why? Because they bad mouth Pandora. You can talk shit about me, my style, how I live, or my attitude. But the moment you talk shit about Pandora or my children, I will rip you a new one. What happened two weeks ago will never happen again. I will enjoy hurting you and showing you how far I'm willing to go to ensure victory." *He pounds his fist into his open palm and stares at the camera with an angry face.* "When Dystopia comes around, everything that you ever thought will go. Your time is coming up, and I will make sure that your time isn't well spent." *He grumbled as his bangs covered his left eye.* "Jonny the time for talking is ending and I got nothing left to say about it. All the talking means nothing at this point. The only thing that matters is the action. I want you to understand that your fate is looking dark and gloomy. My fate is clear. At Dystopia, I will break you and put you out of action. Don't believe me? I guess we'll find out. See you there, Jonny." *FADES!* ©2020 KRAV MAGA PRODUCTIONS
