OOC: Let me preface by saying this isn't my best RP, and I apologize for that, but I didn't want to completely no show. Thank you, Eden for extending deadline as I didn't get to work on this much in the hospital and little man has not had a good 24ish hours which has led to me not having a good 24ish hours. Good luck, Z & Jacob. I'm honored to have been part of this match with Jamie.
Silence is often mistaken for weakness…a lack of caring, even. But that isn’t always the case, now is it?
Jamie Austin chuckled lightly as she leaned against the ropes in her fiance’s family’s wresting school. They knew the importance of her match against Jacob Striker and Zolton, so they were gracious enough to let her borrow one of the practice rings for her promo against the two men. Yes, the generational superstar had been quiet as of late about everything in her career, but that was her prerogative, was it not?
Underestimating me, thinking that I’m just a weak link in this match because of my silence; that I don’t understand the importance of what tonight is going to potentially bring to me. But I, of all people, understand so many aspects of this profession that many don’t understand because they haven’t been a part of those workings.
Jamie smirked as she walked around the ring, her hand lightly dragging against the white ropes that stood out against her red outfit. Her manicured nails scrapped against the rough texture of the ropes just before she stopped in her tracks, a sneer coming to her face.
I’m a generational superstar with a lineage and family legacy that I couldn’t give two shits about. They didn’t care if I ever stepped foot inside a ring as a competitor; they only wanted me to be the good, quiet sister and do what was asked/told of me to do. I finally grew sick of it all and took matters into my own hands when I stepped between these ropes as an active competitor.
Jamie let out a sarcastic chuckle as she leaned back against the stark white ropes, the sounds of students working in other areas of the gym/school being heard in the background of the video. The Texas native lightly licked her painted lips then shook her head a touch.
But my legacy, my lineage, isn’t what the point of the match is going to be. The question of whether I can hold my own or not is going to be put to the test…I’ll be pushed to my limits going against the two of you. But here’s something none of you seem to realize about me yet. My limit? Oh yes, I have one, it’s present, but it doesn’t care what has to be done in order to walk out with a victory.
The brunette chuckled lightly as she draped her arms over the top rope in the practice ring that she had been standing in. Her limits had been pushed before, even beyond what she had expected of previous opponents to do to her, but she found ways to even the scores out. What she lacked in experience, she made up for in ways to even the odds out to aid in her quests to reach the top.
Everyone has different expectations they’re expected to live up to, or even ones that they put on themselves, but what happens when you just can’t meet those expectations no matter how hard you try? Most seem to just give up and let that be the end of it. It seems that’s what most think and expect will happen with me, but what will you all expect when that’s not what I do? Do you people really think I’m going to tuck tail and run if this match doesn’t go how I want it to?
Jamie laughed and shook her head. Naturally, she didn’t know what people fully thought about her anymore nor did she let it bother her as much as it once would have. In reality, it was all of the doubt that ended up fueling her to push the way that she did. The California transplant was determined to show everyone that she was more than just part of a well-known family line…that she wouldn’t turn tail and run as soon as things got difficult in the ring or in her career in general.
Zolton, I’ve watched you off and on for years from a managerial position. I’ve watched you, I’ve studied your matches on the chance that my…sister ever got to face you while you were both a part of the past WWH. I was never expected to step inside of a ring, I know that, but I’ve got more heart and determination than most people think. You earned the World Heavyweight Championship through hard work and damn good skill, I won’t take that from you. But tht’s not all that it takes in this business anymore. It takes soul, and that’s something that it seems you and Jacob both lack at times. What happened to the man that gave everything? Did he give too much and is now washed up in some places? Do you still have what’s needed to belong in WWH as their top champion? Can you still get the job done for the morons that fill the arena to watch us demolish each other as a part of our career? Or have you lost all the soul that you had for this sport?
The fiery snake chuckled lightly as she smirked towards the camera. She wanted to get Zolton and Jacob fired up. She wanted to stir them up in hopes of throwing them off of their games just enough to allow her to get a win over them. The brunette lightly licked her bottom lip as she pushed herself off of the top rope that she had been leaning on.
And what about you, Striker? Do you really think that you’ll be able to get any decent offense in on me? When it comes to defense, to protecting myself in the ring, I’m quite skilled. Just as I’m skilled at being able to turn things around in my favor in different ways. Can you say the same for yourself? What happens when you lose the big one…when you can’t get the World Heavyweight Championship in your disgusting fingers? I can’t see you coming back from losing this match, not at all. The big one can and will destroy you. Myself, however? Well…winning the big one is the goal, of course, but it won’t make or break me one way or another in the long run. I look forward to seeing you broken though, Striker. Maybe it’ll bring a more interesting side of you out in the end.[/i]
Jamie paused a final time, a smirk still on her face as she looked off to the side, seemingly towards some of the teaching going on in the wrestling school. She chuckled lightly at something she saw before her gaze and focus returned to camera.
Mankind Divided is going to be the start of something new and better. It’s a new era of WWH, and with a new era of the company comes a new era of champions. The time of the old ones is drawing to a close…the time for the next is opening the door nice and wide for all of us…for me, especially. It’s time for a new era, whether you like it or not, Zolton. And I plan on being the leader for all it. Out with the old, good riddance to all of it. Welcome to the new.
With that, Jamie smirked and winked at the camera before she walked across the ring to cut it off. She leaned over and blew a kiss into the camera and to those watching before finally hitting the button to end the feed and cut the camera off.
