introduction
Quitters are people who stay down and don't stand back up. Quitters are people who complain about losing and not trying to better themselves. My momma raised no quitter, and I can promise you, Devin, that I'm not a quitter. I'm not going to quit now or ever. Last time you tried to make me doubt myself, Copeland. But I didn't.
You got me because you decided to use a weapon against me. Do you think that makes you something? No. What that makes you is a coward. You took the coward's way out to defeat me, and I want to hurt you even more.
I thought about what you did, and it pissed me off. I know it would feed your ego, but not this time, Copeland, this time, I'll make you understand what happens when you set me off. I won't sit here and let you do it again.
I have to say thank you to you, Copeland. Why? Because you showed me what kind of man you are. I know that you got under my skin and exposed my weakness. All those people who stood by me believed in me. They know I have what it takes to be at the top. All I have to do is be patient and prove I'm somebody, even when people don't see it. I look at you and see nothing but a bitter man trying to get a title that he couldn't get when he was in his prime.
When you used that Brass Knuckles, you thought you left me dead, but here I am, Copeland. You couldn't handle beating me on your own, could you? You showed me the type of man you are, and that makes it sad on your part.
But the challenge that awaits me is what to do about what you did to me, Devin. When I felt down, I thought about all the good that I have in me. When you try to bring darkness, I bust through with the light and goodness, Copeland. That's something I know you don't have. You're just a man who does whatever it takes to win, no matter how low you need to sink.
There will be times when I'll fail, but I'll rise once again. I'll rise because I know failure is a part of life. Failure is what makes a person better. They rise because they know that quitters never succeed. I'm not like that, and people know that. They know when they look at me, they see a fighter. A warrior. A leader. Something that you could never be. At Mankind Divided, I'll give the fans something to cheer for and to believe in. They believe in me because they know I would never betray their trust like you've done to many of your fans back in the day.
The pain I felt when you hit me with those knucks was painful. I lay there wondering what happened. I wonder if it was really all worth it, knowing that you used a tool to get the victory. It was strange, but it showed me that there are people like you who would do whatever it takes to get a win. You showed me that you're nothing more than a child trying to get what he couldn't get when someone tells you no.
Everything that I've done so far has led me to this point. It leads me to Mankind Divided to again face off against you, Copeland, to finally right the wrong you did to me at Ascension III. What you did to me has shown me that I have to beat you, so you don't get to have that dream of trying to be a contender for the WWH Championship.
I promise you, Copeland, that I'll do whatever it takes to make you fail like you failed me when I was a child. I'll make you understand that the woman you face at Ascension isn't the same person. I promise you from the bottom of my soul that I'll make you remember who and what I am.
I stand by what I say and more. I don't need to resort to underhanding tactics to win. You broke me when I was a child and when you decided to cheat to win. I'll beat you and get to the top where I belong. I'm going to sacrifice everything I have to beat you. Break my bones. Make me bleed. Do whatever you need to do. But remember, I won't quit. You'll have to kill me to break me this time around.
The spirits that I have inside me will help me win this war. Everything about this match means a lot to me, knowing I've brought it all and not back down like some people would. From our last encounter, you know I'm more than meets the eye. You know that deep down, I can beat you and prove that my unbreakable spirit continues to grow.
When you and I finally step back inside that ring, you better believe that I'll outmatch you in every way. What happened before won't happen again I can assure you of that. When everything settled, the dust cleared, people will see me standing over you with my hand raised high in the air. They will see a fallen Devin Copeland on the ground and see the shame in your eyes. They will see you as a failure that you are and see you as nothing more than a man who lost his way in the square circle.
While you were doing whatever you were doing, I was fighting and preparing for this moment. This moment will be the moment that everyone will see me, Nakita Niles taking down the fallen hero of one Devin Copeland. And Copeland, that isn't me spitting false lies. No! It's me giving you a spoiler. What happened to Christy Winters was child's play. At Mankind Divided, I'll be putting you in the grave for good.

Scene one - offscreen
Nakita is inside the Hellsgate gym. She has a bruise on her face from the shot that Copeland gave her with the knucks at Ascension III. She knows the pain she's feeling in her face will pass, but she decides to go to the doctor anyway to get it checked out. She walks to the office and opens the door. She enters and sits down on the bed. She looks at the doctor who was there.
“What can I do for you, Nakita?”
“I would like you to take a look at the bruise on my face. It's starting to bother me.”
He walks towards her and puts on some gloves. He takes a good look at the mark while speaking to her.
“When did you get this?”
“Devin Copeland. He used Brass knuckles on me to beat me in the ring. I honestly don't understand why he had to use underhanded tactics to beat me. I think I should use the same tactics as he did, but I won't do that.”
He continued to check the mark until Kat and Kim entered the office to look at Nakita with the bruise on her face. They told the doctor to leave. He walked towards her.
“Seems like Devin left something on you, Nakita. I think it's time to resort to his tactics if you want to beat him.”
“Not going to happen, Kat. I know I should, but I can't. I won't sink to his level, knowing it give him the satisfaction it'll bring him.”
They crossed their arms over their chest while looking at her. Nakita has always been the stubborn type, and it shows at this moment.
“But think about what you're going to do to him if you do. His ego is so high that if you beat him, it'll go down. We all know an ego man like him would be his downfall.”
“And that's the point I'm trying to make. I want to make him pay for everything he's done to me. I know I want to use a weapon like he did, but I want to beat him fair and square. I can't let him win and beat me. I have to prove to myself that he can break. I have to break him in more ways than one.”
Nakita gets off the bed and walks out of the office, and enters the hallway. She crossed her arms over her chest and took a moment to think about everything. She knows she has to find a way to beat him, but can she do it fairly without using underhanded tactics?
Kim and Kat walk out and begin to speak to her again.
“You know what you have to do, Nakita. You need to fight fire with fire if you want to beat Devin.”
“She's right. Take it from us and understand that to get to the top, you need to give him a taste of his own medicine. You know it's true, Nakita. From what we understand, Devin will try to get in your head. He wants to make you doubt yourself.”
She sighs before turning around to look at them. She understands everything about what's being said. But she knows that she can do it. It would go against everything that she stands for.
“I just can't. I can't do that because it goes against everything that I stand for. If I resort to those tactics, I'm no better than him and everyone knows that. They know that I prefer to fight him with honor. Give him a battle that he'll never forget.”
Nakita turns and leaves the gym. She headed to her car but was stopped by Chris Matthews. He stands there wearing a black t-shirt, shorts, and black sneakers on his feet.
“Where are you going off in a hurry, Nakita? Shouldn't you be in the gym preparing for your match against Devin?”
“I know I should but I can't handle working out right now. Kat and Kim are talking about me giving Devin a taste of his own medicine.”
“The Brass knuckles part. I understand what they are saying. Listen, I can't tell you want to do in your match because I have to focus on Skylar. But you do what you want, and I'll support you.”
“Thank you, Chris. You've always been a good mentor to me. I don't think I could do this all on my own.”
“Anytime. You know you can always come to me, and I'll be there to cheer you on like I've always had. ”
She smiled as she hugged him. He pats her on the back as Kat and Kim look at the two. Chris looks back at them before speaking to Nakita again.
“You want to know what I think, Nakita? I think if he tries to do what he did, use it against him.”
She backs away and looks at him confused.
“What are you saying?”
He went to his car and pulled out the same Brass knuckles that Devin used on Nakita. He looks at her and shows her the weapon.
“Devin wants a war, Nakita, and you're going to war with him. It's time to do whatever it takes to win. I'm not saying you should use them, but it's always an option. I want you to take this weapon and make him pay the price for what he did to you.”
She looks down at the weapon before taking it. Chris gets a smile on his face as Nakita walks away, leaving Chris standing in the parking lot of the gym. He looks at Kim and Kat and walks toward them. They enter the gym as Nakita enters her car and looks at the weapon.
“Do I dare use them?”
She put it in the glove compartment and drove off while thinking about what to do.
“What can I do for you, Nakita?”
“I would like you to take a look at the bruise on my face. It's starting to bother me.”

Scene two - on screen
“Courage, duty, honor!”
Words that show up on a black screen. It was the words that Nakita March by. She knows that it's going to test her against Devin Copeland. Nakita knows that she's going to war with Devin Copeland to get a chance of being a number one contender for the WWH Championship. A title since the beginning Nakita has been fighting tooth and nail to get. But to do that she has to beat Devin Copeland, which is easier said than done. She knows how tough he is and knows he'll go to any length to win. Will she do the same thing that he did to win? Only time will tell if she will.
The scene comes in an abandoned Military camp. It's dark, and only a beam of light crashes at the ground. It starts to pour down as Nakita walks into the scene wearing a black beret, a black tank top, camo pants, and black combat boots. She stops at the light and takes a moment to gather her thoughts. She looks up at the dark sky before looking at the camera.
“It took a lot inside me to come to a place like this, knowing how it makes me feel. But at Mankind Divided, I'll be going to war with Devin Copeland, who last time I faced him, beat me. I thought about that day and wondered if I could recover from something like that.”
It was like a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach, thinking about that day and thinking about how low Devin went to beat her. The bruise on her face is still there, and she knows if she thinks about it, it'll distract her from saying what she needs to say about him.
“But here I am, Devin. I'm still walking and still fighting for everything I have inside me. You think you are so slick, don't you? In the back of your head, you're thinking you'll try to pull one over me again, don't you? News for you, Copeland, it ain't happening. I'm not going to let you distract me once again. When I came into this business, I wanted a fair fight. I wanted to prove that anyone can be anything, as long as they set their minds to it. I came to WWH to fight and prove that I can make it anywhere that isn't ECWF. No, I came here to show my skills to the WWH because I know they need someone to look up to.”
“I've at war here, and my war with you will finally come to an end at Mankind Divided. It's there where I'll put you away from good. When people think about this match, they'll think about Nakita kicking your butt all over that twenty by twenty ring.”
She closes her eyes as the scene flashes back to the night that Copeland used the brass knuckles on her face. It was like a haunting memory that was stuck in her head. She opens her eyes, and reaches into her pocket and pulls out the brass knuckles that Copeland used on her.
“This was the same weapon you used on me to beat me, Copeland. The memory of the night still haunts me and tells me that you have to have to use a weapon to beat me. While I was training, my trainers told me to use this weapon to pay you back for what you've done to me. After I left, I sat in my car and looked at it. I started to think if I should use it and make you pay for what you've done to me. Everyone kept coming into my DM and asking me to use it and give him the same medicine he gave you.”
“That right there is where I'm at a cross road. You have to use a tool to beat me, Copeland. I guess the tool that you have can't satisfy your wife, right? She's only with you because of your money, right? I don't usually say stuff like this, but you drove me to be this way, Copeland. YOU FUCKING PUT ME OVER THE EDGE OF NO RETURN!”
She grabs the brass knuckles and throws them to the side. Her eyes start to beam shades of red because of Copeland. The anger inside of her is starting to boil over, but she has no choice. That is when the thought in her head calms her down. She takes a minute to breathe and continued with what she was saying.
“Devin, I'm not going to lie, you showed me how far you're willing to go to get a win. Do you want to use weapons to win? Fine. But know that you'll never break me. When we get in that ring, I'm going to beat you senseless, I will humiliate you, and I'll have you lying in a pool of your blood. I'm a fighter. I'm a warrior. I'm a soldier. I will walk into the battlefield and destroy everything that you worked for. I'm done being nice to you, knowing it doesn't make a difference. I will no longer look at you like that hero I thought you were when I was a child. I'm looking at you like an enemy that needs to be destroyed. Copeland, if you think you know me, you don't. All you are is someone I don't want to be. When the dust settles, you'll be on the ground as a failure, and you will look up and see me standing over you with my hand raised in the air. The time for talking is over, Copeland. I have nothing left to say about you. All the talking is over. The only thing that remains is action. I'll see you very soon.”
Nakita walks towards the camera and punches the lens. The camera falls to the ground as it fuzzes before the scene fades away.
