As the scene opens, in the background we can hear "Burn It Down" by Linkin Park playing, we see a figure standing in the distance looking over a location.
The cycle repeated As explosions broke in the sky All that I needed Was the one thing I couldn't find
Then the camera moves ever closer to a figure standing by what looks like a funeral pyre. As the camera zooms in on the figure, it is revealed to be "The Slayer" Charlotte Ross.
And you were there at the turn Waiting to let me know
"The Slayer" Charlotte Ross looks up to see that she has company.
"The Slayer" Charlotte Ross Why hello there? Care to get my thoughts on my status and my upcoming nontitle encounter?
The camera shakes in acknowledgment.
"The Slayer" Charlotte Ross Delightful. Sure why not? I could use the warmup prior to my intended business.
We're building it up to break it back down We're building it up to burn it down We can't wait to burn it to the ground
"The Slayer" Charlotte Ross I have been told that I get to prove myself in a nontitle encounter with the current reigning and defending Affliction Champion, Jonna Austin. Jonna, you have been proven yourself time and time again. But you are facing one of the greatest women that this company has ever seen. While yes, it may have been as a tag team specialist; I am still a quite capable singles competitor. So, be ready for a fight come Sunday for Dystopia.
The colors conflicted As the flames climbed into the clouds I wanted to fix this But couldn't stop from tearing it down
Then she walks around the funeral pyre a bit showing that it is an exquisitely crafted and designed one at that. Then we see Charlotte walking over to a nearby tree and picking up something. The camera quickly moves over to show that it appears to be a wrapped up object of sorts.
And you were there at the turn Caught in the burning glow And I was there at the turn Waiting to let you know
"The Slayer" Charlotte Ross Many cultures say fire is for purification. Some say that it is warming and loving. Others say something else. For The Order of the Soulless, it can be. But we also do it in honor of them as well. But for this particular time, it is neither. This simply to clean up a mess and also to prove a point at the same time.
We're building it up to break it back down We're building it up to burn it down We can't wait to burn it to the ground
She tosses the wrapped up object onto the pyre. She makes sure that the pyre didn't lose any structural integrity or anything like that. Then she back over to previously seen tree and picks up a gas can, torch, and various other implements.
You told me yes, you held me high And I believed when you told that lie I played soldier, you played king And struck me down when I kissed that ring
"The Slayer" Charlotte Ross I am sorry that it had to come to this, old friend. But you did almost destroy an entire section of The Order along with some other Slayers by mistakenly talking about your affiliation and having certain agencies potentially hear about it. May you rest and have the Lords of Light and Darkness watch over on your next journey to whatever afterlife you beleived in , good sir.
You lost that right to hold that crown I built you up but you let me down So when you fall, I'll take my turn And fan the flames as your blazes burn
Then she starts to pour the contents of the gasoline over the pyre and the body. Then she pours the rest onto the torch and lights it. She tosses it onto the pyre and watches it burn before bowing her head and speaking a prayer.
And you were there, at the turn Waiting to let me know
"The Slayer" Charlotte Ross In your hands, Oh Lord, we humbly entrust our brothers and sisters.
In this life you embraced them with your tender love; deliver them now from every evil and bid them eternal rest.
The old order has passed away: welcome them into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no weeping, no pain, but fullness of peace and joy with your Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.
Amen.
Then she lifts her head up and looks back towards the camera.
We're building it up to break it back down We're building it up to burn it down We can't wait to burn it to the ground
"The Slayer" Charlotte Ross Jonna and the rest of the world, you have now officially witnessed a special event from within The Order of The Soulless. But now onto the more pressing matter at hand. Jonna, you might be the Affliction Champion now but I am going to do everything in my power and ability to earn a shot at your precious Affliction Championship. And I know you will have your sister at ringside with you. Fair warning, I have friends that can come out and play at a moments notice. But for now, you will just have to contend with Monica Mayhem, our manager/Voice of the Soulless. So, be prepared for a fight in the squared circle, my dear sweet Jonna Austin. Cause you are going to get just that and much more.
Then she starts to walk away from the pyre and heads back towards the tree to pick up the remaining belongings there. Then she heads up the path as the pyre continues to burn.
When you fall, I'll take my turn And fan the flames as your blazes burn We can't wait to burn it to the ground When you fall, I'll take my turn And fan the flames as your blazes burn We can't wait to burn it to the ground
Then "Burn It Down" by Linkin Park ends, as we see that she has walked a good distance away from the pyre and is now near a 1966 Dodge Charger. She opens the door and places the items into it. Then she turns to face the camera once again.
"The Slayer" Charlotte Ross Now that it is just us, Jonna. I am going to tell you how Sunday Night at Dystopia is going to go down. We are going to trade devastating strikes and grapples. Then one of us will have the advantage for a bit but then one of us will strike like a viper to bring back into our favor. Then you will try and go for either your G2 or one of your other finishing moves. But I will slip out and smash your face into oblivion with the Righteous Slaying. Then while you are on the ground clutching at your face, I will pick you up and place you onto my shoulders and proceed to cement my place as your next challenger, when I hit you with The Stuff of Nightmares. Or if I am feeling particularly nasty, I will end you with The Soul Slayer. To give you context for that particular ender, I only whip it out when I want to make a statement. And I feel this encounter may be the perfect time to do so. I hope you and your sister Jaime are prepared for a fight, because I most certainly fucking will be! See you Sunday, Jonna. And make sure to keep the Affliction Championship nice and shiny, cause I am coming to take it away from you and bring a championship back into the fold that is The Soulless Sisters and The Order of The Soulless as a whole.
Then she gets into the 1966 Dodge Charger and waves to the crew and the camera goodbye as she drives off into the sunset heading towards where Dystopia is being held. The scene fades to black.

Another week, another plane ride, and another match to have under her belt. Jonna Austin sighed as she drove from the airport to the hotel that the Dystopia roster members were staying at for the show. With having to travel from the States to Japan and back, the Affliction Champion had hired a little camera crew to document her travels in order to ensure that she didn’t miss opportunities to address things. The cameraman was sitting in the passenger seat of the champion’s rented Ford truck to give her a chance to talk about things without missing a beat.
Jonna Austin: Jamie was going to join me at Dystopia this week since she wasn’t booked, but I told her to hang back in Japan to deal with some business that she and Lluvia have with our other company. I figured I could handle things on my own this week...after all, I’ve been doing it without her for however long as it is. Now Harper will be joining me before Sunday, she just had some stuff to handle at home beforehand.
Jonna took a quick glance at the camera, a small shrug rolling off of her shoulders before her attention turned back to focusing on the road. Her dark brown hair, well dark brown minus the large streak of blonde she had in it, was pulled back into a tight, smooth ponytail though her face was without make-up and seemed tired. Gotta love jetlag, after all, right? The Texas native rolled her neck, a couple of loud cracks coming from the various bones/joints in her upper spine as she did. When she came upon a red light, she looked over towards the camera again, giving it a proper look this time around.
Jonna Austin: Now don’t let looks deceive you...I know I must look like crap, extremely exhausted even, but that’s why I flew back to the States earlier than needed. I knew I would need to have some extra time to deal with any jetlag that I would end up encountering. Charlotte Ross...be assured, I’ll be well-rested when it comes time for us to face off in the ring. I look forward to our meeting, however...I have high respect for those that have proven themselves in some way. I’d be an idiot to feel and think otherwise, especially about you.
As the light changed to green, the statuesque woman returned her gaze to the road, focusing on the environment around her. The radio softly played country music in the background, keeping the situation from being completely silent, awkward or not. As someone laid down on their horn and sped past the Ford that Jonna was driving, she rolled her eyes at the impatience of those around her, already being over the California drivers that she was stuck being around for a few days. She sent a side-eye glance towards the camera as she began to speak again.
Jonna Austin: Without a doubt, you’re one of the most dominating people on Dystopia, I can’t say otherwise. However, don’t be like the California natives that we’re surrounded by while we’re here for the show. You were an excellent tag team competitor, but this is the singles division now. Don’t be so determined to reach an ending that you want to the point that you just end up being destructive to your trip in the process. Impatience can be a killer, both in journeying to a destination and trying to reach a new career goal. You can end up being your own worst enemy by being that way.
Jonna came up to another traffic light, luckily being able to go through it since it remained green just long enough. The ride continued in silence, minus the country music playing softly until the Texas native came upon a traffic stop. She couldn’t help but smirk as she saw the car that had sped past her as the car that had been pulled over by police. She shook her head gently as she drove beyond the stopped car, the blue lights from the police cruiser flashing in her rearview. She shot a knowing look at the camera quickly before she turned her focus to the road once more.
Jonna Austin: Don’t be like that idiot, Charlotte. Impatience only brought him trouble, brought him to a screeching halt. It got him nowhere, and I would say that it got him nothing, but that most likely wouldn’t be true. Although I could easily say that it got him nothing good; he’s most likely getting quite the ticket for being an asshole that just couldn’t exercise a little self-control. Charlotte, might I suggest learning from this little video? Show self-control and exercise it; you never know, it might just get you something in singles competition. After a few more minutes of silence, the Texas native pulled the rented Ford into the parking lot of the hotel that the roster was booked in. She easily found a parking spot and pulled into it, turning the truck off after parking. It went silent in the vehicle for a moment as Jonna reached to the backseat and grabbed her Affliction Championship as well as her duffle bag, turning towards the camera to say one final bit.
Jonna Austin: Prepare yourself, Charlotte. I didn’t win the Affliction Championship by being 2nd best. On Sunday, I’ll show you just how good I really am. See you soon.
