Post Shogun Fay Noire Chronicle

🗽The morning after Renee Jonae's Shogun victory, January 3rd. The view begins with brushed strokes of red on black coming in and out view with each passing sight of red to take the darkness. Then the video shows a hand holding a pink handheld mirror to show Renee Jonae her own reflection looking back at her with new red streaks in her hair. Holding the mirror is her fiance' cousin. In a traditional pink kimono, Narumi Tsutsumi, who did Jonae's hair, now asks a question as the video expands to show her beside a seated Jonae.🗽

Narumi Tsutsumi: What do you think? I'd like to think of it as a family special.

🗽Jonae stands up, revealing her full body as her red-streaked black hair falls on her Gucci black open kimono, with red floral print, and formal black wear for her top and pants underneath. Jonae strokes at part of the red in her hair in thought before speaking out.🗽

Renee Jonae: Brilliant.

🗽Jonae dawns a colossal smile as both women give a modest high five before grinning at one another. Narumi grabs Jonae's right arm in a hug as she leads her side by side out of the room.🗽

Renee Jonae: You think they'll be alright with me doing this? If they even show up.

Narumi Tsutsumi: Oh stop it, these ceremonies go off spectacularly well, and I made sure to do a call for the occasion.

🗽Shoji doors open, and instead of seeing a crowd, we see a focus on one large red streak at the front of black hair(//Note: Yoshi Tatsu). The view then swaps between Renee Jonae eyes perking up, and expanding from the large streak to show her grinning fiance, Jaydayne Pendragon in a black & red yukata.🗽

Renee Jonae: You came!

Jaydayne Pendragon: Wouldn't miss it for the world. Had to leave your brother with Masum though, kid's in the vulnerable wise not to fly list.

Narumi Tsutsumi: Good, if you had missed it by being your unmoveable rigid self, I might have thought of taking Renee for myself just to bully you. That company you work for needed a general manager for their puroresu division and gave you a fancy title in Shogun Architect, but Renee here actually won her title by combat, so she might have you beat in the realm of two shoguns!

Jaydayne Pendragon: Cousin, I am not a shogun. I told you, the name of my position more accurately implies I serve the Shogun division as it's architect. I am still but a samurai, a hafu one at that who needs to double his efforts to have masters that keep me on the right path, lest I fall to the way of the lordless ronin.

Renee Jonae: (Teasingly)Aww, does that mean you serve me now?

Jaydayne Pendragon: I pledged my sword to you long ago.

🗽Jonae puts her hand to her heart touched, but also slightly amused as she turns to Narumi. Narumi Tsutsumi shakes her head at her cousin's blunt wholesomeness.🗽

Narumi Tsutsumi: Renee, thank you for taking care of our idiot. Otherwise, who knows what kind of dogmatic regimes he'd be serving.

Renee Jonae: Oh, don't be like that, he's got his own opinion on when to rebel. You know that more than anyone.

Narumi Tsutsumi: Ugh it was surprisingly charming of him to make his stand against the elders' prejudices. His actions left poor ol me and Masumi alone dealing with the elders all these years, we'd never have guessed it back then he'd have the balls. But you aren't exiled anymore, baby cousin, I took care of all the boring reforming, so you better not make all of it a waste of time! I want you showing up here without needing Renee to be here first, we're family! She's nice and much more pleasant to have around than you are, but you can still show up once in a while! Promise me.

🗽Knowing he'd get yelled at if he lied in the affirmative, and yet it's not a request he can conceivably refuse, he awkwardly smiles and rubs the back of his head. Narumi knows she has him cornered and puffs up her cheeks as she goes to nag at him more, but Jonae makes the save.🗽

Renee Jonae: I'll make sure he plays nice and pays a visit more often.

🗽Knowing it's a debate for him to lose another day, Pendragon switches the subject to what caught his eye.🗽

Jaydayne Pendragon: I see you did her hair. It looks nice.

Narumi Tsutsumi: That's right, and unlike you, I didn't need much practice to do it right you ouroboros dragon that has to do the same thing thousands of times day after day.

Jaydayne Pendragon: ...You know ritual is the Shinto way cousin. We put doing over believing when it comes to honouring what we value, and I value my Red Strife thus I ensure I add this red taint every morning to remind myself of the fight I have chosen. You shouldn't look down on practice so much. Though admittedly, yes, you do have a scary propensity to get things right on your first attempts. Thank you for lending your efforts for my fiancee.

🗽She puffs up her chest, happy her cousin complimented her, thus being more lenient towards teasing him.🗽

Narumi Tsutsumi: Aww you. It was nothing! Renee always wanted to get around to changing her hair colour around as a message but felt it first should be red like yours and apparently only when she earned it. I think a kabuto hat would have been nice too, but she prefers the hair change.

Jaydayne Pendragon: As repetitive as my rituals are, it would seem no amount of repeating how much she doesn't need to worry about stuff like that will convince her.

Renee Jonae: I don't want to be someone who goes the easy route in life! Nobody in this family would respect and accept me by doing that anyways, I know you don't care, but the controversy making things difficult for you was never okay with me. I know what the colour red means to you and the people of this country, I didn't want to wear it until I proved myself all on my own. Winning Shogun in the Tokyo Dome's main event, I knew it had to be my moment. I wasn't going to make a New Year's Resolution like you said your Shinto beliefs and thus these red streaks are about actions, I wasn't going just going to believe I was worthy of sharing this all with you I was going to prove it. And now, just for today, I share the red and being on top of this country with you on equal grounds.

Jaydayne Pendragon: Have it your way, the people await.

🗽Behind Pendragon, much of the family and friends have gathered on the outside and have become restless.🗽

Renee Jonae: Yes, we should go greet them, they're excited that their young master is finally paying a visit.

Jaydayne Pendragon & Narumi Tsutsumi: Wrong.

Narumi Tsutsumi: Everyone's happy the fool has come home, but everyone knows why he's here in the first place.

Jaydayne Pendragon: For better or worse, they too are obsessed with actions over sentiment, and you brought great prestige into this ancient house. And the family's always been great with gifts, it's sort of in the meaning of the Tsutsumi name. Go on, wear your colour proudly.

🗽Renee Jonae sees the family the people on the outside bearing gifts for her big moment and is overcome with emotions as holds her mouth with tears of joy, as Pendragon pats her on the back.
