Match Five:Levi Tsingine versus Sah'ta ThorBoth men impressed during the tournament, Levi lost in the finals but Noah still likes what he saw and decided to give him a challenge in the form of the man who still claims to be the "REAL" International title holder. Thor had a bump in the road and was the heavy favorite to win the Shogun tournament, but the wheels came off the wagon and he was suddenly on the outside watching what could have been. Does the man that demands a match with the current International champ get back on track, or does Levi turn things back around?

Post by Sah'ta Thor on Jan 17, 2021 2:01:35 GMT -5
"Sudden Death. Such an interesting turn of phrase. So much is expressed in those two words. Yet, for all their impact they seemingly mean nothing in this world until they are forced in the forefront of things. I know what the words truly mean in more ways that you can imagine. During the Shogun Tournament I shared the fact that I am literally dying a fragment at a time every day I wake up."
The sound of Sah'ta Thor's voice is heard speaking as dim red light appears revealing the man sitting on a steel chair next to an open pit in the center of an open field. A slab of red and black granite is seen laying at one end of the rectangular pit. The red light seems to shine up from the pit along with a diffusing fog.
"I have heard the comments that I should just hang up the boots and enjoy the rest of my life on the sidelines. Oh, how I have heard it from fellow wrestlers to my doctors. However, let me remind you that in ancient times when a warrior felt his end coming he wandered off into wilderness to his end. While we don't exactly live in those times any more I have embraced this concept with my whole being. You see I fully expect to be laying buried in this pit by this time next year. If it was just the tumor and the impact it has on my health I would probably take the advice and fade off into retirement. Though, it is never that simple. It is the slow inexhaustible, inevitable loss of identity and self that oh so ever slowly grows worse day by day. Dates and facts of years long past have started to fall victim to the cold inescapable void of the forgotten."
Thor stops speaking for a moment as he leans down to grab a handful of dirt. As it slowly steams out of his hand he starts to speak again in a voice filled with the deepest of emotions.
"I can feel it all slowly slipping away like the grains of sand in an hourglass. I am more than aware of the trajectory my life took here in the WWH over my last pair of matches. Yet, I wonder if you would even care to know the entirety of the story behind what happened. October 25th, 2020 I took a loss to Victoria Lyons. A woman who I had been just two shows earlier. Though as was revealed prior to the match I had been in the hospital leading into that match. You can go back and watch what I had to say but there are a couple of things I want to point out. First, and foremost is the undeniable reality that Victoria only served to spoil my momentum. Second, is the truth that I had been in the hospital a bit longer than I reveal in that segment. LIke I said though I had side effects after another wrestling endeavor ended in a much more brutal fashion that I know it would."
Silence descends on the scene as Thor lets his words sink into for a moment.
"Let me pull back the curtain and reveal to you the reality of what happened. The short version of the tale is that on October 12, 2020 I was involved in a feud ending chain match. A match that was the culmination of several months of bad blood between the man who is now my ex-son-in-law and myself. Bad blood that honestly the company this took place in fed into without ever listening to what I was saying about things. Yet, he had been gone from the picture for eleven and a half years. Yet, my daughter didn't divorce him until the beginning of October. Long story short, the match was brutal and he walked away the winner of the match. That loss though was just the beginning of the night for me because my son-in-law led the rest of the stable we were in together down to the ring. What followed was a savage beating that NO ONE if that company did a thing to stop. Keep in mind this is only an overview of the night and I will end up posting something more expansive about it later on the WWH website."
Another handful of dirt is lifted from the ground and allowed to stream through Thor's fingers as he sits there letting the night breeze cause the red lit fog to swirl for a few seconds.
"Of course I managed to get out of the hospital in time to do another obligation that only got me sent back to a hospital bed. Though that is a story for another day as it has no real bearing on where I am going with this next. Oh, we all know how management decided to handle the fact there was no clear second Shogun semi-finalist. Before you all go assuming that I found the move objectionable don't you even think that is where I am going. I could sit here and make all sorts of excuses on why I didn't win. Hell some of them could even be facts but at the end of the day Josh Kaine won and went into Shogun. Of course, he couldn't get past Renee Jonae who ended up winning the whole thing in the end. Yet, over the holidays and the reduction in my mental stress after the fallout of the whole chain match situation I found myself renewed. I cost myself my spot in the Shogun 2020 Semi-finals and in the end only I can move on from it."
As Thor says these words he rises to his feet and starts to walk around the hole in the ground pausing to stand behind the red tinted fog.
"At Shogun, you all say the beginning of the Imperium here in the WWH. Something I had said was coming for some time. However, you can't even begin to understand how big an organization the Imperium is a part of. I know many of you have seen the message left by Arthan on the WWH website. A message that in time will be quite clear in its meaning. While everyone is worried about the fallout of Shogun we in the Imperium and by extension the Left Hand are planning so much fun. Oh, and I can promise you that by the end of Dystopia the identity of the figure left unrevealed at Shogun will become known to all."
Thor raises his left hand and holds it up in the fog for a few seconds before finishing his loop around the grave to return to the steel chair.
"Shogun is over and what could have been will never be. Which is an ironic statement considering the next edition of Dystopia. For those of you possibly sitting there in confusion watching this let me explain. You see, before my Shogun dreams were derailed I predicted that Levi Tsingine and Elijah Copeland would more than likely be the ones to represent Sanatorium in the Semi-finals. Of course, I also pictured myself as being one of the two Dystopia representatives but we know how that turned out. No, what is important is that if I hadn't stumbled, I could very well have faced Levi in a match inside the Tokyo Dome. Alas, that wasn't what happened but it seems as if the fates have aligned to make this match up occur.
With an amused smile Thor leans forward in the chair while watching the reddish fog continue to swirl about in the night breeze.
"That is right, it will be Levi Tsingine versus Sah'ta Thor in a match on the first edition of Dystopia following Shogun. The man who made the Shogun finals but lost versus the man who failed to make the semi-finals. Yet, I am actually going to admit I don't really know a thing about the man. Oh, I know that Levi came in as a free agent for the Shogun Tournament and was placed in the Sanatorium bracket. Yet, for all of that all I know about him is what is on his WWH roster page. Oh, don't roll your eyes in derision that I haven't taken the time to watch any of his work here in the WWH. You should understand that for a man as busy as I am there comes a time to prioritize things. Frankly, following the story of one Levi Tsingine has been much of a priority for me. That is until now since the man has been placed in my path as an opponent in the ring. The fact that management has signed the former free agent to a Dystopia contract following Shogun should be all you need to know about the man's worth in the ring."
As his words fall into silence Thor once again stands up. Once on his feet he starts to pace in circles around the grave with a growing determination in his movements.
"Let me run down what I noted just by looking at Levi's roster page. He is a taller, younger man with style in the ring that fits his build. Yet, at this stage of the game most men I step into the ring are bigger than I am. Hell, to be completely honest I am not ever sure if there is anyone in the industry who is currently active that is older than I am. So saying my opponent is taller and younger is like saying the Earth is a planet. Though, having said that I suspect that you all assume I don't give a damn about this upcoming match. Oh, how wrong you all are in that. You see, folks I have all the footage of Levi's matches record and ready for my viewing. I will take plenty of time to dissect each and every one of his matches here within the WWH to see what I can pick up about him. After all, he has been placed in my path and I will do whatever I need to do to put myself back on the path to victory."
Thor comes to a momentary pause on the far side of the grave and starts to smile. A smile that has air of menace to it from the way the red swirling fog plays over his face.
"With all of that being said, management has been ever so kind to remind you all of my goal of becoming the International Champion again. I won't repeat my thoughts on that matter as you have all heard plenty on that matter during the early parts of the Shogun Tournament. However, since it has been brought up I fully intend to unify the forgotten legacy of the International Championship of old to the glorified renamed belt that exists today. Not to belittle the current champion Matsuda as a competitor but she is a willing participant in allowing this company's history to be buried. I will use this match against Levi to reaffirm that I still belong in a wrestling ring. I will show the entire roster and world at large that even though I stumbled in my last matches I refuse to stay down."
While Thor is speaking he remains behind the fog allowing its swirling to add to his words and the savage smile on his lips.
"While I have no way of knowing what Levi thinks of me, let me address a few likely comments that could be coming about me regarding our match. First, being I am a has been that should retire and leave the business to the younger talent. To that I have only to point out that I can STILL go toe to toe with guys in the twenties with ease. You have seen my matches since I came back and frankly, I have pushed a lot of the younger talent to their limits. The second thing I expect to hear is that I have no business being in the ring with Pride of the Navajo Nation. To that I just have to say, take it up with management after I hit you with a Parasite Eve. Though like I said I could just be imagining what Levi could say. Though in that vein, I fully expect him to question what will happen now that I have revealed the Imperium."
Thor stops and gives a chuckle that is a mix of amusement and savage intent as he leans into the fog allowing it to swirl around his face.
"Will my comrades interject themselves into things for my benefit? Will Imperium distract and manipulate the situation for my advantage? I can feel the questions in not only Levi's mind but the entirety of the WWH fan base. Oh, how much fun I will have seeing everyone try to figure out what Imperium is all about. Only time will reveal that but trust and believe we will all be enjoying the speculation."
With that Thor walks back around to stand behind the steel chair placing his hands on the back.
"What I can promise is that Imperium's mission has only begun and Dystopia will only be the beginning of what we are capable of. I personally will fight until I can't draw breath and Levi will experience why I have a litany of monikers. Mark my words Imperium will walk out of Dystopia having been victorious in all of our matches. A new era is dawning on the WWH, the only question is where will you stand in the times to come?"
As his words trail off into silence Thor picks up the steel chair slamming it closed. The resulting sound reverberation through the night air as he starts to walk away. The reddish fog swirling out of the grave remaining before it suddenly falls to darkness. A few seconds later and the screen is taken up by an image.
The image remains on the screen for a few seconds as the sounds of a horse neighing while galloping are heard clearly. Then all of the sudden everything fades to nothing until a video package hyping the debut of WWH: Isle starring Gothica Skylight comes onto the screen.
