The camera shows Sarah Lynn sitting on the bed in her cell.
Sarah Lynn: As I sit in here wondering if I’ll ever have a response to the phone call that I made on Sanatorium a thought comes to my mind. Would I as a fate changer be willing to sell my soul to the devil if it benefitted both my life and my career? It’s an interesting question because only I know who I tried to phone. Maybe I phoned the trainer who created the John Blade promo rating. Or maybe I phoned another at the time trainee who some people would have said was my enemy in training. Maybe I phoned a typical girl who would much rather collect plush toys and Barbie than fight. Or maybe I have other secrets. So many scenarios but only I know the truth, only I know the destruction that I could have caused both the asylum and Sanatorium with that one call. Before I go any further I just want to remind people of the fact that nobody answered the phone. So you might be lucky and nothing comes out of it at all. Or it could be part of a bigger plan and the person received the message and passed it onto somebody higher up in a priority line so that they could handle the situation themselves. Please think about my story before I entered the asylum, I was just a trainee so how many people in the entire professional wrestling world really knew me? The answer is not many outside the school. So nobody really knows what Sarah Lynn’s real plans are. Or maybe nobody fully appreciates that I’ve been in here for nearly four months and it’s starting to change me.
Sarah Lynn laughs.
Sarah Lynn: Madness inside your head can be a dangerous thing especially for someone wanting to change their fate. They have to be willing to do things that they wouldn’t normally do. Up to this point I’ve done all of my talking with nobody by my side, however come Sanatorium and I’m seen talking to a random nameless guard. Think about that for a minute a woman who hasn’t shared any kind of spotlight with anyone had no choice but to make an exception for that one moment. Could that have been a test to see how well I get on with others? Was that a setup by me or the asylum? Everyone would say he was there to do his job but I can argue that maybe the moment wouldn’t have happened so openly if it wasn’t part of a bigger plan.
Sarah Lynn stands up.
Sarah Lynn: The asylum can change you. You might be looking at me feeling a change in me and asking yourself is it normal or is it something that’s been forced on me? The thin about change is it’s about how well you adapt to what you become. Maybe I do need to meet the guard again and tell him that he’s got a new friend in me. It has the potential to be the start of something beautiful. Or maybe I need to forget about that interaction and focus on my future. Ah the future so many possibilities but what one has the biggest chance of really happening? It ties in with the morale of the story. What side is Sarah Lynn really on? How does it all tie in with my next match?
Sarah Lynn walks over to the cell wall.
Sarah Lynn: In an interesting twist my next match is a rematch from my first match. That’s right I’m facing Gothica Skylight again. The first thing that I’ve got to wonder about this match is who has stood out more since their debut? Everybody would say I have and that means that I’ve got the advantage in this match. Gothica needs to defeat me and avenge the first loss more than I need to defeat her. The problem is I refuse to lose to her. I’m on a winning streak with an intent on competing in bigger matches. While Gothica just wants out of here as quickly as possible. You could say that I’m defending the future of Sanatorium. When it’s worded like that, it sounds like a there’s a lot of pressure on me to win. I’ve already shown that when it comes to pressure, I can overcome it.
Sarah Lynn puts her hand onto the cell wall.
Sarah Lynn: Gothica do you know why I put my hand onto this wall? It’s to show you that even it can handle pressure. It doesn’t matter how strong I am because it won’t break from my hand being on it. Gothica if there’s one thing that I know about you its’s that you’re broken easily. To my knowledge you’ve lost more matches than you’ve won. If you can’t win in the asylum will your luck really change out of it? I don’t think so. I see a world where you become more and more of a laughingstock and eventually give up trying to succeed. I on the other hand believe in myself therefore I have a higher chance of going places. Yes it’ll take time but in the end it’ll be worth it.
Sarah Lynn stops touching the wall.
Sarah Lynn: Gothica we were both booked in the Escape Room Match and there’s no denying the fact that John Blade solved the puzzle while you didn’t. So I’m going to ask are you sure that you’re ready for this match? I really don’t think you are.
Sarah Lynn smiles.
Sarah Lynn: Gothica I want to remind you of something I once said, I wouldn’t leave Sanatorium until after I won a championship. At the time I didn’t say anything about what division the championship was in because it didn’t matter and to this day it still doesn’t matter because I just want to be a champion. It makes me sick knowing that I defeated Christy Winters who then went onto become a champion. I still believe that my victory over her should have been enough to knock her out of championship contention. However, I also have to look at it from a positive perspective. If I can defeat a future champion, then when I finally earn a championship match I should be the odds on favourite to win the match, just like I’m the odds on favourite to defeat you.
Sarah Lynn looks around the asylum.
Sarah Lynn: Gothica I’m going to end this by trying out my new catchphrase. I am the fate changer Sarah Lynn and I’m going to change your fate.
The camera fades.
