{Scene Start: The camera starts up and we see Jacob Striker & Uiriamu Minami standing on a rooftop somewhere, Jake is dressed in a pair of blue jeans and a black t-shirt, his hair waving slightly in the wind as he stands off to one side with a slightly disgusted look on his face while Uri is dressed as normal, but has a more annoyed look on his face}
Uri: You know, I honestly expected more out of the Dynamic Duo. Yes, I understand that I'm not apart of the great big fucking whole that is the world according to Stephanie Matsuda, but that does not fucking make me any less of a wrestler than either one of you two trollops. Yes, you two are the former tag team champions here and no longer do I give a flying fuck about winning the gold this week because at this very moment, it's no longer about the gold.
It's about knocking you two shits off of your fucking high horse!
Now I kept my mouth shut about last weeks match and how stupid it was to have a number one contenders match when the two of you automatically have a champion's rematch as you're the former champions...so winning our match last week basically means what, you automatically get *TWO* more shots at the Soulless Sisters instead of anyone else get a shot in from either brand?!
Who the fuck came up with that bright idea huh?
Jake and myself have busted our asses here in this company, every win...every loss, we own our shit like that and we're paying our dues just like from Becca Wildeline and Demetrius Lane, Jonny Cedrone and Josh Kaine to Mark Wright and Latoya Hixx, we all pay our god damned dues while people like the two of you brag about how you deserve every chance you get without a fucking care to anyone else on this roster.
And you're supposed to be the "good guys"...
{Uri stops talking for a moment before looking over at his partner at which point he motions at with his right hand}
Uri: Also you both claim so much shit with this man. Yes, you trained with him...lived with him...became friends with him, but each and every time he has had a brutal match *ANYWHERE*...were are the two of you if you're such good friends with him..hm? When Alex Slayer gave him a grad two concussion at a Pro Wrestling Nova show, where was the two of you?
When he needed a friend after he was fucking humiliated one international television by that useless little tramp "Q" over in One Wrestling Movement...did either one of you reach out to him and help pick him back up??
You are quick to pick up on the friend and trained with him train but you are also just as fucking quick to throw that nothing is "his time" right into his face. We both understand how cut throat this business is, girls.
{Uri suddenly stops talking and gives Jake a very pointed look, like he's asking permission to say something to which Jacob only nods once slowly before Uri continues at which point Uri points at Jake again, this time rather purposefully}
Uri: This man *knows* exactly just how cut throat this profession is. He knows it on a level that neither one of you two nor your precious mentor will be able to know it on.
He knows shit on a level that would blow your damned minds away if you knew what he knows.
Just like if you think that my anger at the two of you is because we're not in the running for the tag belts is your third biggest fucking mistake ever. Yes, Jake and I are not happy with the fact that we lost our shot, but we're more furious at the fact that you two are more proud of the fact that you expect Jake to be happy with being screwed over like this...like he enjoys hurting Serenity week after week and being treated like he's some kind of bitch.
Now Ashes of the Wake, I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get to the two of you and I think it's killer that Jake and I finally get a chance to test ourselves against two of the toughest on this roster...but it's a challenge that I am confident that we're more than willing to be able to handle because the two of us have been trained by some of the hardest bastards in professional wrestling and we've got the experience to back that up with.
My speed and experience are more than a match for you Havoc, just like my man Jake's power and raw talent in the ring will time and time again be the great equalizer in this match-especially when he manages to turn you, Miss Blaire, into very forms of abstract art with his deep, unbridled understanding of submission holds.
Now despite the words of a couple of little trollops last week on Dystopia, you can bet your bottom fucking dollar that Uiriamu Minami and Jacob Striker are more than ready to square off against the Ashes of the Wake and take the two of you down in the meantime...
{The camera shifts over to Jacob who has been silent this entire time, closes his eyes as he takes a couple of deep breaths before slowly nodding in agreement, but when he speaks-it is much more calmer than his friend and sometimes tag team partner, more measured and cold}
Jacob: Uri has every right to be enraged right now, it seems that the front office here in World Wrestling Headquarters has chosen to week after week put the two of us into tag team matches and to hell with what we really want to do with our careers here in this company.
I know that Uri here would really like to try for Nikki Caldwell's Asylum championship and I would dearly love to face off against Havoc himself for the Affliction championship because I know that with me, he'd have a real opponent.
Unlike this company having to cater to that useless little meat sack that is Vincent Lyons.
The point being is that I don't understand why Noah Hanson wanted this match to happen, and nor do I care. Maybe he gets off on watching me try and break two of the very few people that I give any kind of shit about in the world.
Speaking of the duo.
Jocelyn....Serenity, I want you both to listen to me and understand me fully before you start even trying to cut a promo;
This whole use of the phrase "it's not your time", it stops.
I'm so fucking sick and tired of hearing everyone use that fucking phrase with me like it's some kind of sick yoga mantra, when I loose a match it's never about "time", it simply means that I lost and I can fucking own up to it...but the fact that you kept throwing it into my face, just like that two bit fucking arrogant fuck Graham Baker, without a lick of respect in your voices is what has me so furious that I'm calm.
I know that we are in a very cut throat world and that it is dog eat dog, I get that in ways that would make your heads explode...but you know what I can really do in that ring. Serenity has some inkling as to why I hold back and if you have been paying any kind of attention to Stephanie, then you know damn well what happened in my debut for Dominion...that was me having enough of a lot of shit. Now I didn't go out of my way to do what I did that night and it bothers me on a level...yes, because in the end it was either my neck or his.
Now despite everything, you didn't take us seriously last week and don't tell me that you did because I know you two better than that...I asked Uri to hold back just a little bit with his kicks because you pissed him off that badly that he was going in there to intentionally work stiff on the two of you because you showed him no fucking respect of all and treated him like he was an after thought.
Tell me girls, what brought on this disrespect to someone who started me down the road to become a professional wrestler...someone who is as close to me as my own flesh and blood family?
{Jake indicates Uri with a tilt of his head, his voice is still calm..collected..cold}
Jacob:
This man is a former multi time world tag team champion, yes not here in World Wrestling Headquarters but do you really think that the front office here would've hired him if he didn't have the experience to make this brand work? Tell me, Jocelyn...what bothers you about Uri the most? The fact that he is confident enough to call himself "Wrestling's Hottest Property" or the fact that he has enough confidence in his own fucking partner that he doesn't have to second guess me.
Yes, there is something going on between myself and Serenity. But we're also both professional enough that it won't prevent us from doing what we have to do in that ring. Last week while you were bragging about how great the two of you were beating me after the match, what do you think Serenity was more concerned about...the victory or how furious I was over having you throw something in my face?
{Jake closes his eyes and takes a breath for a moment before opening them again and looking deeply into the camera}
Jacob:
You know that I've got nothing but respect for the both of you, otherwise I wouldn't have come here in the first place to be the backup that the two of you needed all this time. But like I told Graham Baker earlier this week, this is MY *TIME* because I'm taking it and making it mine.
Now as for the other team in this match with us, the Ashes of the Wake. The two of you have probably heard the Dynamic Duo last week put so much "faith" in our ability to handle the two of you in the ring.
I hate to say it but on one and only ONE point, they are right.
And that one point is that Havoc isn't known for anything less than being one of the most fearsome wrestlers out there. His style is highly adaptable and he can throw himself to the four winds without hesitation and while be broken by his own actions, he can still walk out under his own power as the winner...which makes a lot of people hesitant about entering the ring with him because his style of wrestling makes him hard to scout.
Funny thing is that while the Dynamic Duo have zero confidence in Uri and I's ability to square off with the two of you and beat you, I have every confidence that not only can Uri and I beat you and Jada, Havoc. Yes, the two of you are two of the toughest sons of bitches in this promotion and you are proven champions...but we're no slouches either and unlike some of your past opponents that the two of you have faced, we're something new. As my partner has stated in the past is that between the two of us, Uri and I have been trained by three of the harshest taskmasters in professional wrestling, so in the long run we have an entire series of styles to throw at the two of you throughout this match and we can just keep switching it up.
That goes the same for the two of you, Jocelyn and Serenity. Over the past few weeks, the world has started to see more and more of what I can do in that ring and this week, it's going to be our time because we're going to be walking out of this with the victory and then when the match is over, I'm not going to brag...I'm not going to gloat...I'm not going to do anything other than just *LEAVE*.
{Uri thumps his right fist onto Jacob's left shoulder}
Uri: The four of you had better take fucking notice, I'm burning up waiting for this match to happen so that we can prove ourselves to two of our biggest fucking critics and the Ashes. That's the bottom line, we're out here to do what we do best and that is win.
{Uri goes for a fist bump with Jacob, but instead Jacob simply looks at the proffered fist and then up at Uri before simply walking away as the screen fades to black with Uri's confused look}

She watched from behind the glass doors as Josh closed the distance between them with Roo at his side. It stirred something up inside her, watching him be so at ease with her and the wardog eagerly trotting beside him--happy as a clam. Nikki couldn’t put a name to what those feelings were, but she didn’t need to. Even two years apart, she knew Josh Kaine well enough to be certain that this wasn’t an act. He was even honest, ever respectful.
Nikki opened the door for him, watching quietly as he kicked off his sneakers and Roo found her way back to the bed to rest from the exertion of the run. A smile pulled at the Amazon’s lips as Josh pulled her in for a tight embrace, followed by a hungry kiss. The run hadn’t been exhausting, but something about his scent was comforting.
He broke the kiss after a few moments and smirked. “You’re lookin’ like you’re hungry as I am, but you ain’t just hungry for food or rakin’ your nails down my back again.”
The Hunter found himself shoved against the wall, the Amazon holding him there as she looked him over. He was a simple creature, but the change in him from their time in EWA was profound...as was hers. Nikki had spent the last two years cultivating the predator inside, she spent so much time in the hell of Sanatorium with her brother and spent all that time building up her strength inside the ring and out.
“Looks like I was right.”
“Tell me what you think you’re right about.” It wasn’t a polite request, it was an order.
Nikki knew Josh Kaine, she felt his pulse quicken under her grasp and the hungry grin pull at the corners of his mouth.
“You’re hungry. Gettin’ stir-crazy.” He began, staying where he was. “Eager to make up for that last match and get whatever momentum you can in your crazy-ass tag match this week. I faced off against Striker one on one already--he ain’t easy, but he runs his mouth more than his brains. You been here longer than me, though. You’d know ‘em all better than me and I know you’re gonna clean house with Mr. Havoc.”
Nikki’s arms moved up to wrap around his shoulders, pulling him in tight for a kiss but stopped halfway when he spoke up again.
“Ma called me,” His voice was quiet, he watched the way her eyebrow went up in curiosity. “Said you ain’t been returnin’ her calls or nothing--that ain’t like you. No matter the problems you got with me or Mister Tarzan, you always talk to Ma. I know we’re keepin’ things quiet while we figure stuff out, but Ma seems real worried. Wanted me to tell ya to let her know about your dress fitting and all that, but it wasn’t just about that. Ma ain’t got a good poker face, not like Miss Lilah.”
Her trouble-filled smirk faded and her straight tiptoed posture wilted. "Yeah. I'm putting off even having to have the conversation we both know's coming. Hoping he'll come to his senses, even though that's ridiculous, it's him. I just want to be mad at him, why can't I be mad at him. You know, not be stuck in the same wedding with him and play nice and pretend things are fine. Things aren't fucking fine. I'm about an inch away from disowning him already over this."
“Yeah, I can’t say I blame ya.”
He wrapped tattooed arms around her and let his forehead rest against hers. “You don’t gotta play like everything’s fine. You got a big-ass problem with him--’specially now that he’s the number one contender for your belt, you gotta have it out. Don’t be like him and Ma, Nik. Don’t hold this shit in.”
Josh heaved a long-suffering sigh, knowing this little bit of paradise would end and there would be some serious pain on the horizon--for himself and for Nikki. Whether it was having the knock-down drag out brawl at the wedding, or having it blow up before then and suffering through the consequences. “There’s one thing I know ‘bout you and him...he ain’t never gonna be able to be what you need him to be. Ma and him are too much alike, thinkin’ they know what’s best for us and holdin’ it all in till it blows up and fucks up everything good we got. You deserve better--that’s why you joined up with Havoc, ain’t it? Get somethin’ better, have someone in your corner even if he’s kinda out there.”
"And it's not even just that he won the tournament and is my number one contender," she said, sighing herself and leaning into the contact. "It's that it's been his demented goal since day one of the tournament. Not just to win it, but to take it away from me specifically. It wouldn't be worth a thing to him otherwise. 'Oh yes, just go find another one on Dystopia', from Mister Hundred Belts himself. It's not that easy for me. This one matters to me, I already gave up another one just to challenge for it, I'm not going to just hand it off too because I'm off Sanatorium."
She shook her head, her forehead rocking against his. "This losing streak I've been on since I changed shows is getting ridiculous. This is the kind of shit that makes the people on this show look down on Sanatorium as lesser wrestlers. Just prove everyone right that I'm really the lesser member of Ashes, just some lackey. For all his strangeness, I know Havoc doesn't see it that way. He's actually not that bad underneath it all, people just see the scary exterior and some of how he talks and don't stop to think about what he's actually saying. Dark doesn't necessarily equal evil."
He was quiet for a moment, taking her words in and mulling them over. They shared that sense of clarity, the ability to see through someone’s bullshit and determine what was really hiding under the surface. Josh had only been on Dystopia a couple of months now--and he knew just from the way she spoke that Havoc’s words rang with some truth. Nikki wouldn’t be fooled by a sheep in wolf’s clothing.
“I think you gotta show him that in this crazy ass tag match. You stumbled for a while, but you got your footing under you now. I know Mister Tarzan’s a special kinda fucked up--he ain’t got that...he don’t think to try and see shit from your perspective. He just gets a bug up his ass about somethin’ he wants or thinks is right and that’s the only damn thing he can think of, no matter the hurt it’s gonna cause folks who love him.”
Josh paused and inhaled deeply.
“Ma’s the same way. Sold me on down the river to HATE and said it was for the best--and shit maybe it was, but that wasn’t her decision to make for me. He don’t see it any differently between you and him than Ma saw it between me’n her. Fuck that. He wasn’t there to help raise you up--didn’t come help even though he knew you were out there and could be struggling.” He knew he didn’t have much room to criticize her brother hurting her, considering they’d just barely reconciled after two years of pain and separation. “Like Mr. Havoc, I ain’t gonna let you walk alone, Nik. The least you deserve is folks ‘round you who won’t throw you under the bus for their own gain...and no matter what Mr. Tarzan says, it’s all for himself. He don’t think about what this shit means to ya or what it might do to y’all in the long run. Just like Ma, gonna do what she wants and consequences be damned. It don’t gotta be like that for you--for us. For all of us. Too many fuckin’ wrestlers here with their heads stuck up their own asses can’t see the forest for the trees, but you ain’t never been like that. You can see right through someone’s bullshit. So fuck your brother’s fuckin’ goal, he wants to take that belt from you? Make him fuckin’ choke on it first. You earned that shit fair and fuckin’ square.”
"That only-one-who's-right, go-big-or-go-home thing of his... it's him all over, and I should find a way to use it to my advantage. Because to be honest, I need one. That match is going to be one for my greatest hits DVD someday, I can already feel it." Her and her brother were too alike in many ways, and he'd trained her with careful consideration to her size and personal aspects in a way that was all him. She felt like there was no move he wouldn't see coming. She wondered if he felt something similar.
"This match? Feels like an opportunity to evade my rut, because it's a tag match." She leaned back a little and booped his nose with a finger-- "And nobody knows better that I'm good in a tag situation than you."
Well, isn't this just a gorgeous clusterfuck we find ourselves in.
Noah decides he doesn't like Havoc's mouth one week-- funny, it seems to earn you all plenty of money every other week but that one-- and plops us right in the middle of what amounts to being a wrestling version of a sibling rivalry. Tell me, Jacob Striker, what would your Wrestling Mommy Matsuda think about your mistaking Ashes of the Wake's manager Jada Blaire for one of your opponents this week and leaving me out of your little strategy session?
Matsuda did in fact beat me recently. It was a hell of a hard fought match, but she finally twisted the win out, and I give her some amount of respect for that. You lot? Her squabbling kids? Not so much.
I in some way want to respect Dynamic Duo. I've been a tag champion, just not here. Tag wrestling is in a way a return to something I've secured my skills in before I came to WWH. But I find you two a tad... hollow. What do you want? What do you stand for? Besides winning? Because if that's your only focus, you're missing half the equation as a wrestler.
Hopefully you can all settle yourselves like good children by the time Sunday arrives. I'd hate to ruin playtime so voraciously.

The camera opens to a frustrated looking Jocelyn Sky and an equally conflicted Serenity Scorpio, whose eyes are currently turned away from the camera. The former tag team champions seem lost in their own thoughts as if they want to focus their thoughts on something else. But they knew they had to cut a promo on their upcoming Texas Tornado Tag Match. For them, it wasn’t about fighting Uri and Jacob again or facing the Ashes of the Wake. This was about getting back something that was lost, which were their tag titles. The girls wanted to face the Soulless Sisters and redeem themselves, but it looks like things were going left. They now found themselves in the middle of the war between The Ashes of the Wake and management. Noah Hanson himself has decreed for this match to take place. The Duo now found themselves in a situation they weren’t quite sure they wanted to be in.
Jocelyn Sky: Serenity and I have been racking our brains for the past week, wondering why we were put in this situation. We’re not afraid of a fight, but we’re the number one contenders to the World Tag Team Championships. We beat Striker and Minami for that very opportunity, for that very distinction. But yet, we’re put in a position where we’re supposed to humble The Ashes of the Wake? I say that because something tells me that this isn’t your standard triple-team affair. This is about punishing The Ashes. As flattered as Serenity I are that Noah Hanson thinks so highly of us, we’re also a bit taken aback by all of this. We’re not ones to be pulled into some kind of political tug-o-war. We don’t like being pawns in someone’s game-
Serenity Scorpio: But if we can send a message to The Soulless Sisters, then so be it.
Jocelyn stepped back a little, surprised by her partner’s sudden burst of life. A narrow-eyed Serenity continued to speak in a serious tone.
Serenity Scorpio: I know Jacob and Uri are pissed about losing their one shot at the tag belts, but The Duo has proven that we’re the superior team, And we’re going to do the same on Sunday night as we shut The Ashes down as well. It might sound like a tall order to some people, but Joce and I have fought against tougher odds. We’ve stood against those who thought they could take us out. Now we have another shot at redemption, so yes, The Ashe will be our example that we use for declaring ourselves as the best tag team in WWH. As for Uri and Jacob, they lost to us because it takes more than mere aggression to win matches. Heh, thought Stephanie taught you better, “sweets”. I guess I was wrong by a longshot. Once you realize the problem is with you Jacob and nobody else, then maybe you could thrive in this business.
Jocelyn Sky: As far as the Ashes are concerned, we’ll play along and make an example out of you. But Havoc? Nikki? It’s not us you two should be worried about. It’s freaking Stephanie who is more than capable of taking all three of your titles from your hands. As for us, we’ll stand beside her as two-time World Tag Team Champions. Until that day comes, I guess we’ll be doing what we’re best at being dynamic.
Serenity smiled at Jocelyn who nodded at her.
Serenity Scorpio: Jacob, once again Joce and I did what we had to do. Our career here at WWH means a lot to us. When we finally defeated the Diamond Dogs, it turned into the greatest moment of my life. I want to recreate by finally putting the belts around the team that rightfully deserves them...The Dynamic Duo.
Jocelyn Sky: We don’t want to waste any more time so we’ll see everyone in the ring on Sunday. And Jacob? Please bring your best the second time around.
The camera fades to black as Dynamic Duo walks away.
