Inside the hotel lobby, a small camera crew had arrived only a few minutes prior to Jonna and Jamie Austin arriving and checking in. When Jamie saw the small crew, she rolled her eyes and scoffed. They had literally just arrived and were already getting attacked, so to speak, for Jonna’s thoughts on her match coming up against Perish the Prophet. The slightly shorter of the two sisters elbowed Jonna in the side before jerking her head in the direction of the crew. Jonna looked in their direction and sighed as well, hoping to at least get settled before doing any kind of interview about her return match in WWH. “Come on...might as well get everything said and done now. The earlier we get it done, the sooner we can relax and maybe even go out later. Besides, it’s going on a live stream to the website, so it’s one less thing I have to worry about at the arena.” “If you say so, Jo.”
Jonna rolled her eyes a little at her twin’s defeated tone of voice before they made their way over to the little area of the lobby that the camera crew had, in a way, taken over. The two sisters sat down in some comfortable arm chairs across from the crew. While they were already rolling and had been since the two sisters walked into the hotel, they adjusted themselves some to get a better shot of Jonna and Jamie. Jamie looked at her sister from the corner of her eye, making a gesture for her to start talking and get things going. “So it’s been a number of weeks since I’ve been seen on the screens of WWH fans. Now I’ll get to my return match in a moment, but to those that stuck around with WWH despite the huge management change, I say thank you to each and every single person. I know that people follow a company to see the talent, but people always have an opinion on what management is or isn’t doing. I know the change happened what seems like ages ago, but when the change happened, I wasn’t sure what to think nor did I honestly have faith that things would continue to run smoothly. Of course, I was wrong about the latter, but I left for a while instead of giving things a try from the get go.” “Jonna, I don’t think they care about all of that...and I can’t say that you’re doing yourself any favors by revealing all of this.” “Jamie, this is something I have to get off my chest. You know how I am...I can’t begin competing here again without getting this out. Anyway...to Eden, I apologize for not giving you the proper chance when you took over and management was changed around. It’s not something I’m proud of. I was worried that WWH wouldn’t still feel like home, and I didn’t want to risk it since WWH had been my home...my professional debut happened here.”
Jonna paused for a moment, looking down at the floor, feeling guilty for the selfishness that she had admitted to. It hadn’t been a matter of just not caring enough to do anything...it was caring way too much and being very unwelcoming of the change that had been coming. The taller of the two women wasn’t sure where to go next, so to give her a couple of moments, Jamie cleared her throat and began to speak. “While Jonna composes herself to move beyond the guilt that she’s feeling, and I can say that’s what she’s feeling for sure because we’ve talked about this numerous times, I’ll speak my peace and be done with it. Jonna did what she thought she needed to do in order to keep the fond memories that she had from her start in the professional, big time aspect of wrestling. She should have gone about it differently, yes, but the past is the past. Her match against Perish the Prophet, whatever kind of fucking name that is, will ring in a new future for her under the new regime in WWH. She’s screwed up in her career, no doubts about any of that, but all of that is going to change at Dystopia.” “Jamie’s right...while nothing will change my past or the mistakes I’ve made, Dystopia will change my future. Now then, Perish...I’ve seen a lot of eccentric people in my career, and you’re definitely close to the top of the list for most eccentric. But that’s not going to save you in our match. You may think that your demeanor will get you an easy win...that your looks will throw me off guard because you’re not the typical looking person, but you would be 110% dead wrong. Nothing about you is going to make me miss a step, nothing is going to make me screw up my return to the WWH ring. There is nothing that’s going to keep me from making a proper impact again. I hope you properly prepare, Perish; I won’t be taken lightly nor will I take this match lightly. I’ll see you in the ring.” “We’re done here, so long.”
With that said, the two sisters grinned then pushed themselves from the arm chairs, grabbing the handles of their bags. The camera followed the pair until they reached the elevator, disappearing from view once the doors closed. The view of the hotel faded into darkness as the feed ended.
